I have played nothing but pump for a while now (mainly a SS-25). The only down fall is I don't use my all time favorite semi, my Rt-pro.

So I Decided to pump it, but I've got some problems,

I got a new body, with milled pump slot, shown here compared to my stock ULE body.

But my x-valve doesn't fit, what's the deal with this? can I just hack saw it down...?

Now my next problem is the bolt, I guess I need to convert the level 10 bolt back down to level 7.
I thought it would be simple, remove level 10 dolt and slide on level 7. Problem is the level 7 bolt doesn't slide all the way down, Again, what's the deal?
Level 10 bolt,

Level 7,

I never had to work on it once, so I haven't the slightest idea how it works, Thanks for the help.

 It looks like you are building together from here and there. I've never owned an RT, but I do have a PumpMag.

It looks like you modified the wrong body. You either need to get a standard, custom, or minimag body with the pump slot. I've seen ULE's here on the forum that have been milled for pump. But this is the first time I've seen someone try to use an RT. :nono:

I thought all the bodies where interchangeable?
What body do I have then? and what valve is made to fit that tiny slot?

And what about that darn bolt?

everything is interchangeable EXCEPT the Classic RT's which is what your body is off of...

The bolt issue is not just a pull one off and replace with another... You need the powertude tip and spacer used in the lvl 7's....

I have a classic body i can sell you that is modified for a pump mag. PM me for details.

well darn... So can I hack off the back end of the body and it'll work?

But thanks for the info on the bolt. That's useful.

I have seen people mod the body to fit the regular valves & xvalves. THose bodies were made for the Original RTs. If you decide you are going to cut it down to make it fit please please please dont use a hack saw. Use a pipe cutter. This will give you a straighter cut. After cutting it take a dremel with a sanding attachment, and sand the inside of the body where you just cut it. There is a small lip that you will have to sand down before the valve will slip in.

Like someone said before To get from level 10 to level 7 you will need a bolt, powertube tip, and some L7 spacers. Pm me if you need any of those.

One other problem you might have is that the pump handel might stick because of the long body. When I had one on my minimag I had to put a spacer on the rail where I bolted the pump on at. (vert asa hole) After that it worked fine. You should check the length compared to a minimag to see if you are having any problems. Measure from the tip to the mounting bolt on both, and it should tell you which will stick out further. and if you should try to mod it.

Good luck

Thanks guys this is helpful,

If I cut the body I far in do I need to sand this "lip"?

when using a pipe cutter it will indent where the cutting wheel is. Probally 1/16-1/8 of an inch. You just want to sand that lip off to keep it from scratching your xvalve.

Put tape around the outside of the body to prevent it from scratching the exterior of it.

Ok, One more...

Does that body use twist lock barrels? I am not sure how the twist lock barrel works, but I notice there doesn't seem to be any threading on the inside of the body.

I don't think anyone mentioned this yet, but the Level 7's are supposed to have a gap between it and the valve. I'm not exactly sure why, but I remember TK saying that in an old Lvl 7 Classic 'Mag video I had.

Just thought I'd add.

By the way. Viva le Pump! (I've got a Trilogy Sniper in the works!)
