I saw a link to this on MCB. I thought some of you might find it interesting. Here (http://www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-2384071.php) it is.

It's an article from Army Times talking about the FN303 being used in Iraq. The Fn303 is made by AGD for those of you who don't know.

I wonder if those(paint) cost alot more...that would seem to be so much better. Think of the hopper/magazine options you could have. I wonder if they hurt more? are more accurate...you'd think they would be, seems you could get an almost perfect paint to barrel match.

im pretty sure the those "paintballs" are .71 cal specifically so you cant use them in regular painball guns. the article says .68, but im pretty sur ei read otherwise somewhere.

*sigh* how soon they forget...

Tom designed the valve system for the 303, FN makes the bloody thing. Tom also developed the special finned balls for it. Yes, they are still .68.

If you wonder how effective the impact is, the steel fire door at the back of AGD has fist sized dents in it from the 303.

looks like those balls would hurt - you can get deer hunting loads at sportman guide. the whole 'doe in heat' will make a team totally gag when mixed in and shot during a tournament. not that i would do it - no no no - not me. it was a good laugh and boy did those dudes stink!!! the fox pee is good to. :shooting:

ok kids go have fun - but please if you are pulling a practical joke make sure the field ower and or the guys buddies are cool with, it is not a joke when you spitting out your teeth and look for your left eye just cause you thought it was funny. :nono:

sorry, didn't make the connection :tard:

if it made dents in a steel door, seems like it would break bones :wow:

Just research what they did to some Red Socks fans a few years back.

I think AGD/TK did the R&D for these late 90s, early 2000.

a girl was killed in boston when the red sox won the world series when she was shot in the eye accidentally by one of these. they're no joke. they're "less-than" lethal, not NON-Lethal.

Another kid had a hole ripped through his cheek.

perhaps one shouldnt put themselves into a situation where one of these might be used on them... i could have sworn i read something about .71 cal less-than-lethal projectiles, i just cant remember where.

That IS the less-leathal weapon that AGD designed. The valves are built by AGD, everything else is built and assembled by FN.

I liked the general tone of the article, I can definately see how being able to shoot someone with something that hurts like a ***** but wont kill them would be useful.

On the same side, if some one handed me a paintball gun instead of an m4 I'd be a little pissed.

“This is another step in the escalation of force that a soldier does not have to seek permission to use. He doesn’t have to hesitate any more than he would have to hesitate to shout at someone.”

Sounds pretty reasonable.

I don't think a mask would help you against the 303..
