I posted this question some time ago but had no picture to attach. I think I successfully attached one this time, but lets see if I am as smart as I think I are.

Nope, not so smart after all. Anyone have picture help? I followed to instructions on the f.a.q. page. Until I figure it out, here is the shortcut to my homepage where the pictures are posted.

When I originally posted my question, BlackVCG said the description of my aftermarket mag bolt sounded like a Lightning bolt, as I have never seen a picture of one or even heard of a Lightning bolt for a mag, I have nothing to compare with. I am hoping someone here has and may be able to confirm the identity of my mystery bolt. Thanks in advance for any help.

In the pic showing the bottom of the bolt, can you see that it is somewhat yellowish? The "core" of the bolt is nylon.

The bolt stem wears very rapidly, resulting in bad leaks in the power-tube as the O-ring can no longer seal.

Go with the AGD bolts, either a standard or longnose, you'll be much happier:cool:

First of all it was called the Venom Thunder Bolt by Toxic Toys in Germany. That is not a Thunder Bolt. Looks to me like a custom built bolt. Your sear latching surface is heavily worn with having a round edge like that. Get an AGD bolt, because soon you'll be having leaking or double fire problems.

Thanks for the information, guys. BlackVCG, now that you say Thunder bolt, I remember that was what you had said originally, sorry about the mix up. Army, you are right on about the fast wear, I have had to add longer and longer pt spacers to fight bolt stick, I am up to a .245" spacer now. I had planned on putting a Superbolt in my minimag and replacing this odd bolt with the stock bolt from my minimag. Unfortunately, now it seems that the Superbolt purchase will have to wait.
