I got a used eclipse splash kit a little while ago and i played one game with it. a few days later i screwed in my tank and it was leaking. i looked over the owners manual and video and nothing was simlar to my problem. so i took it to my local feild and had it fixed. i went to pick it up and he said my body rail was worn out and i needed a new one. he put a body rail from one of the other mags on it and it worked. is it true that the body rail wears out?

the body rail should not wear out. the only thing that may wear is the groove where the sear sits in. but i have never heard of it happening.

if your eclipse body rail "wore out" call them and see if you had a defective rail.

The only thing that could possibly wear, is the Zgroove where the A.I.R. valve locks in. Nothing else has a friction point or wear area. He lied to you to sell you another rail.

There should be a bushing in the hole where the feildstrip screw goes through in the rail. If you lost this bushing that would be your problem.

The problem with rail wear is the grove where the sear pin sits, if it wears just a little it will mess up the travel for you on off pin, another thang that good be wrong is your rail might be a little bent.
