just curious....What is the highest dollar bill you have held in your hand? (specify what dollar bill, Canadian, US...etc, and if possible when you held it)

I have held 1000 bucks (US money) in one hundreds in my hands before. Of course it wasn't mine it was my uncle's, but it was nice.

I got to make a purchase for my old company...it was a cable and cable harness manufacturer, so me and the buyer went to down to get some spools of cable...played with some 50 grand in the form a Cashier's Check payable to "cash"

I have held a $1000 dolalr bill of my grandparents. They were going to Reno, we liv ein Alaska. The total cash I held was about 10 grand, it was also theres, same day. :) too bad . The highest amount I have ever owned at one time would be 500 bucks. Im 15 so go fig.

$400,000 Cash. Payday at Ft.Dix, 1988. I was tasked to assist the paymasters in bringing in 4 armored suitcases, once inside I was told to remove the contents and put it in the safe. $400,000 in a large green brick!

Funny Story-

I went to this carnival thing with my friend and his dad asked if I wanted anything. I said I would get one of these huge brownies. My friends dad reached into his wallet and pulled out all these $1 bills. I went to buy the brownie and noticed that a $50 and a $100 got slipped in there. I bought the brownie and brought the money back to his dad. His dad said to keep it. I was like :eek: . I then stupidly said, " you know you're giving me $156" I never saw anyone jump up in the air that quickly. He looked like he was kicked in the butt. Well any case he took the $150 back but let me keep the $6 :rolleyes:

Where I used to work, I had to cross the street to deposit $10-30k in cash at the bank several times after the accountant got canned. Probably transported by foot at least a million dollars. Hell, me and some co-worker's used those bags of money as footballs in the storage room... so I'm not phased at all by large sums of cash. :)

Oh, and the most I ever held was around 10K, on a busy day when I worked at CompUSA. That was only when the manager got too lazy to come clean out the register, and eventually it would be too full to stuff anything else into, so I'd run it over myself.

However, I am presently stationed at Ft Monmouth, and to give you an idea of what the military pays for commo equipment; I saw a receipt for 4 billion dollars in an office tonite. The kicker is this; the engineer who sold this project, was only the THIRD highest seller! Lol...what a great land we live in huh?

I work at a grocery store, and every once in a while, I have to do "pickups", where we take the money to the office, so it's pretty normal for me to be handling a thousand or two.

but the most I've ever held is a million dollar bill :D . couple years back i went to indonesia, the exchange rate back then was 1 US dollar --> 13 thousand. it's probably gone up since then.

My dad has some old German money from my grandpa....one of the bills is a 1,000,000 or 10,000,000 deutsch mark note? Is that right? I can't remember...any way I remember thinking Whoa...this has got to be valuable...nope. Hardly worth the paper it's printed on....even today. He has tons of them.

My grandparents gave me 9500 in hundreds (100 USD bills) for my student loan and to get my car fixed. They are wonderfully nice and generous people and that was the most Cash I've had in my hands.

my dad owns 3 mcdonalds' and on some occasions i have to go around to each and pick up each months deposits, so you figure you do $1000 breakfasts a day and around $5000-$9000 lunch/diner

so it could get up to 10k a day, and then multiply that by a month, thats 300k

so its been anywhere from around 300k to little over 10k:)

just all depends
