How do you tell what model year a Shocker is ?
I just picked one up, the guy says its an 06.

But looking at his feedback I found the auction where he bought it,
and that seller doesnt say what year it is.

Just wondering, but are you OCD?

You have that stupid green arrow on all your threads.

Browns suck, we know that.

But in the same respect, we know that OSU is a better team than Florida....

From 03 to 06 all smart parts shockers are mostly the same *excluding private label guns*, as long as their stock. The 07's are different, but only minor differences. So unfortunately, its hard to tell an 05 from an 06, etc.

Not a great answer, but an answer.

as long as it has the HE bolt, rebound board, and the new style piston in the vert maxflo you're all set.

So I guess 450.00 for the Shocker, 45/4500 Maxflo and a Freak isnt a bad deal then.

Great deal. I Love how shockers shoot.

I hope yours is in good working order. They are a pita when something goes wrong.

Looks like the original buyer took it in the shorts on that one.

in the long run, it doesent matter. they are more or less the same. ive had both and couldnt tell the difference.

on this one, im leaning more toward an 05. i dont really see that being an 03 unless the guy never played with it. the anno wears really easy, and i dont see any of that. you might be able to look up the serial number and stuff, im not sure.

/threadjack. moemag-- i love my shockers too, ive never really had a big problem with them after i tune them, and they really arent hard to tune/fix. usally it just needs lubing :)

Hard to tell from those pictures. If they were super clear then maybe.

blind guess on the year would be assembled in 2005. If you give the serial number I can probably let you know.

But like they all said the differences between the years are minimal. It's true that there are many parts that have changed in some way (in fact, everything has been updated at least once), but the differences are small. As long as it doesn't have all the old parts from 03 you'll be happy heh.
