Don't you think you'd find a way to escape? Just wondering what your thoughts were on the recent finding of the 2 kidnapped teenage boys (one lived with his kidnapper for 4 years). There's probably a lot of psychological control, but I can still hardly believe he never saw a window of escape for 4 years, unless he was held in a dungeon or something.

Heck the kid even posted on the Forums that his Mom and Dad setup on their website trying to find him and he used the guy who kidnapped him's last name. the whole thing is beyond weird to me there must be a lot more behind this story. The kid wont even tell his parents how the abduction happened or what happened while he was being held... Like I said before there's something else going on here.

a lot of times these kids get emotionally battered and scared by their captors .. almost brainwashed to think that things are ok.

That or he got free pizza.

Either way, it's still an odd case. Glad he was found though, especially alive.

I was thinking more along the lines of teenage rebellion, with a little SS on the side.

I think that he had his own reasons for staying. Just a guess though.

the guy let him play video games and ride his bike he coulda rode his bike to his parent's house and didn't go to school

the guy left him at home to do anything when he was at work at a pizza place

the kid posted on his parents forum asking how long will you be looking for me ..

the kid came home with normal weight and no signs of abuse

there has to be something wrong with his real parents since he never had to go home ..

his mom's husband is his stepdad

someing is just fishy and he won't say anything about how he was captured

I would think that if he had wanted to be found he would've been because he wasn't locked in a dungeon or something like that he was pretty free by my understanding.

A girl I used to know was super into crime library.
You can find all sorts of insane kidnapp and torture stories on there.
She told me about one where a girl was was kept under a bed for a few years, used for sex, was allowed to call her mother etc etc. I don't remember if the guy's family knew about her, or whatever.
People are weird.

Man.
Kept under a bed.

I can't wait until the kidnapper goes to jail.

You know what they say about prisoners not really liking child molesters?

It's true.

Yeah, jail for him is not going to be fun. I wonder how people end up being so screwed up

Steelrat pointed out Stockholm Syndrome, for all of you questioning why he stayed and so sure there was something more, you should look it up. Not necessarily saying you are wrong, but I am saying you need to look into other possibilities.

Dude, 40yrs old and working at the pizza parlor?

now, what if the media is labeling him as a kidnapper, when in actuality the kid ran away from home?
