Im planning on getting gruntbull to do my emag :D. I have a blue xvalve, I want to get the whole gun done in blue, leave the grip panels black, leave the ring on the neck black, the detent nut, the barrel will be black CF. I dont know ona drop/rail yet.

Heres my question, do you think dust or gloss will look better with the blue on the xvalve(im leaning to gloss)

Blue is the worst possible color for reannoing a mag. You wont be happy with blue.

It might have to do with different grades of aluminum... Or it might not.

The grade aluminum that some AGD parts (maybe all of em for all i knwo) doesnt take some colors very well. Blue really wont turn out that great as Tuna said. Odds are a lot of the parts wont match. Look at Going Homes blue mags, the blue were all diff shades.

EVERYONE IS DOING BLUE

do something different for a different gun.

If you MUST HAVE blue, do a fade.

Personally, I think an x-mag would look good in a dust orange.

I've spent more years than I have fingers wanting a blue gun! Now a fade would look pretty cool, blue (including the X,) faded into black....

I would cut the gun apart with a dremel tool before i let someone do one of my guns in orange. Same goes with pink, or anything that could be described as "hot" or "pastel"!

Go ahead and get your marker anodized blue, I like gloss the best but dust is good too.

Just dont let Fireball Mountain (FBM Factory) do it or it will be two tone like that.

I sent two markers and they did the same thing to both, everything matched the blue Xvalve I
sent except for the body and feedneck.

gruntbull should be able to color match the parts. Just warn them ahead of time. I think acid is really good with color matching too. (acid if you read this, im topazbullet on pbn :P)

You could always do a blue to blue fade. Like light to dark.

Good luck.

I can give you a price quote too if you pm me.

do what you want. who cares if everybody has a blue gun. im kind of in the same position. since i started playing paintball some 5 oro 6 years ago, i'v wanted to get a lime gren gun, but all of a sudden, lime green is a popular color. well, i dont care, if i ever get the money, im going to get my mag annoed lime green. if you do want to be different, get a weird shade of blue, go to home depot and scoop up some pint chips and decide on a blue that you like and not everyone has. also try something else for accents, maby a lighter or darker shade of blue, or something compleatly diffrent. just my oppinion.

Blue looks better in gloss imo...
