Hey, I heard a rumor a while ago that the 2008 olympic games were going to include paintball. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? If so, does anyone know what kind/style of paintball will be played?

It's not gonna happen until we have an IF (International Federation). Everything else about paintball meets Olympic standards. The paintball community simply cannot create a succesful, international governing body.

With it being 2007 already, and 2008 just around the corner, something as big as the Olympics would already have chosen the sports.
I seriously doubt there is any truth to the rumor. Youd have heard more by now if there were.
this is speculated almost ever 2-4 years for as long as i can remember.
paintball needs a major overhaul or olympic friendly format to ever be in the olympics.
and olympics are for individuals(in most cases) not teams of sorts.
too many variables in paintball....
---we got a ebtter chance at the x-games or something

Just curious. Makes sense that it wouldn't be though.

Agreed, the requisite cheating and nasty sportsmanship is already in place. All we need now is a judge bribing scandal.
