We don't mind playing with others as long as they can chrono in at a safe speed. I was watching some of the games at SC and I could hear a guy firing frozen ropes from the back and I could hear it whizzing past me at the 50.

Hell if need be I'll bring my Hand Chrony this time.

As of cases of paint and #'s thats TBD until people start speaking up :D

C'mon dude, thats how most of the fields end up, its a cycle. Once the kids learn they move on, whether they like it or not. OMFG even SC Village has its own village idiots. And you're half-correct. Alot of great refs moved on... however the new refs aren't that bad.

As seen by the last AO socal meet we paintball players are horrible at volunteering to bring stuff. I think it would be best if somebody (like last time) brought the main item ( carne asada, burgers, hotdogs, etc) and somebody(ies) brings a barbque(s).

THEN

Everybody in attendance chips in a few dollars to cover the cost. This is more work for one or two people but at least we don't end up with ham and no burger, kool-aid and no sugar, peanut butter and no jelly, etc.

i'd love to but i can't seem to find any AO users in Iowa. I'm not sure if we have any good fields for a meet like that. but then i haven't really looked much farther than the end of my nose either.

Don't worry. You won't be the only one on the field with a pump. The last AO meet 2 guys used pumps the whole time (PumpMag & Shrub909). They had a blast and we had a blast watching them. :clap:

lasrsktr - i have a car that is similarly clearance challenged, and it is fine. there are not really any mean dips or potholes (or speedbumps) that i have had any trouble with. you should be fine.

as far as the reservation - i have at least two in the "friends that may come" category, possibly 3-4.

well... as long as I'm in the area, I'll be making it to the April 7 Game + one friend (pending). There is a slight chance that I'll have to go to either San Jose CA, Pheonix AZ or Taiwan. There is even a smaller chance that I'll be going to China or Hong Kong (but that's doubtful). Also need to factor in the unforeseen caos that can crop up out of the blue. So I can only say I'm 99% certain that I'll be there...

But most likely, it looks like I'll make it!

Funny story for you lazebum.

I was playing at Camp Pen about a month ago. At the end of the day I was very thirsty and I decided to stop into the commissary (sp?) to get a drink.

Now keep in mind I am not in the military and don't really know anybody in the military.

So I walk in and grab a gatorade. Before I got to the register I had drank about half of it. I put the bottle down on the conveyer belt and pull out my wallet.

The cashier asks for my military i.d

I give her this look :confused: then tell her I am not in the military.

The lady next in line says "Oh he can use mine"

Cashier gives this look :mad: and says "you have to talk to the manager.

So after 20 minutes of waiting for the manager. I explain the situation to her and she tells me that I am shoplifting.

Here I am with money in hand WANTING to pay and she tells me I am shop lifting.

She then tells me she is going to call the MP's (Military police)

Finally she takes away my half dranken Gatorade and tells me to leave.

Good times. Good times.

Okay i cannot set up a game without a Total number of people... and at that rate i have to prepay the entire amount...

So either i set up a game for 20 which will be 500 and not include any air. but at 20 per person it is $25 a person... so it leave 10 for some sort of air fill card... whatever.

I live about 35 minutes away so I was just gonna get up on april 7th and head to the field when ever and ply walkons with all yall. I do really like playing tournament style ball (i play xpsl, nppl, and hopefully soon some psp/nxl style events) but im not that typical narrow minded teenager most people think of when they hear "tourny ball". I dont mind crawling around with my mech mag all day long. so where ever youguys decide to go ill come out and give it a go.

Gas refills:
CO2 (1oz - 9oz): $1.00

High-Pressure Gas: $1.00 per 1000 psi

I am not a huge speedball fan.

With that said I have always had a great time at CP.

They have 1 devoted speedball field and it is pretty lame. They have a number of other speedballish fields. They are flat and open but big. They also have a few woodsball fields.

The turn around time in a private group is as long as it takes you to fill up on paint and air.

The refs work on tips. Therefore they will let you do anything you want (marker hits don't count, play till you run out of paint no matter how many times you get hit, etc). They have all been really cool. As long as you have your barrel cover and your mask on when they tell you to.

Right now we won't have a group at velocity, probably ever, and I don't thin everyone is going to drive to sd very often, so if would like to play with us and hang out, we will be at cp, smoothice send the check and leave no doubt

sorry I havent been keeping up with this, either or is fine with me. But im still only like 90% sure due to upcoming tests and projects. Whats nice about pendleton is that if you have add-ons to your private group they're not punks about it, all you would have to do is pay them the needed amount. If your into speedball and small intense games then Velocity is the way to go, but i totally understand you guys on the whole private game issue over there because we've setup a few and it is A PAIN!!! Pendleton is for the more rec ball focused player, many woodsball fields and some smaller fields, but i still wouldnt classify those as speedball. Depending on how many are open there is usually only 1 speedball field open and about 3 total ( usually the other 2 are closed). But they do have some fun villiage type fields. For a private game I would think that the staging area of pendleton is much better than velocity, its alot more larger and easier for a larger group to cooperate. Usually larger groups meet up on the higher level ground where it is open(this is where i suggest where we should meet if the AO MEET is moved to pendleton). To get to the higher ground when you first enter the field just keep heading left and youll head up a small hill and that is where we will meet, I suggest either meeting up at the right or left corner of that area to keep the group and gear safe and easy to watch). They dont have a self fill station for air (well atleast last time i went they didnt) but then again wait isnt that bad. You guys pick the field as to what majority speaks, I dont mind if it gets moved because velocity can be a pain. The attitude at pendleton is definitely alot more relaxed vs velocity but then again I still like to play at velocity due to the speedball oriented fields, but then again Ive played at pendleton for 4 years straight :rofl:

Guys we need some volunteers for food & drinks.

Here is a list of what we need:

Drinks - It would be nice if we could get 3 or 4 people to bring drinks. Maybe a couple 2 liters a piece. Or a big jug of water.

Tortillas Shingo is bringing- If a couple different people want to volunteer that would be cool. Carne asada goes pretty well with any kind of tortilla. So 2 or 3 packs of flour or corn should be perfect.

Chips - Shingo's friend is bringing - not necessary but always delicious.

Tomatoes, shredded lettuce, salsa. Anything else you can think of.

Charcoal

Please post what you can bring.

At least we had enough of that meat leftover to heat up at Jungle islands big game the next day last Jan.

Remember to bring some water for yourselves just in case, gotta make sure you're hydrated for the games guys! :clap:

if you had just mowed the dog while you were taking care of the grass, you could have avoided more dog washing in the future! no hair = less dirt!!!!
