Can anyone out there do pump rail milling? I ran into a pump body by chance, and I got the wave springs too. I could make the actual pump and pump rod.

If I could get the milling done cheaply, it would be a fun little project.

And I'm not looking to spend much either. If it's too much, I may as well sell the rail I have now and pay a little extra to get a pump milled one if it comes along.

After inspecting the haveblue file a bit more... I've concluded that doing rails is out of the question for myself. I just don't have the right vice to hold a rail like that. Who knew the slot was perpendicular to the body curvature :tard:

sorry.

WJR - If you are sending yours in to Rainman anytime soon let me know. If I could send mine at the same time, it would save him the hassle of setting his machines up more than he has to. Let me know when you plan to start your project up!

I posted a thread regarding our jobs in his Custom Work section over on MCB. Let me know what he gives you quote wise. Since we are having the same kind of work done, it would be nice to track it in one thread...
