Proteus or Flex-7?

Well it is time for a new mask and these are the two I am considering. At Action village they are pretty much the same price, if you get the proteus without a fan. I myself do not like fans so I need to know what you guys think is the best buy and why. Thanks alot guys.

After switching back and forth between them both at tournys and rec-ball for the past 5 months, I have shelved the Proteus in favor of my Flex 7. It feels better, works better, and just for sure looks better.

Yeah, they are roughly the same price, I'd go with the Flex. However, many guys go in favor of the Proteus. Try them both. :cool:

invision. my mom has a proteus and my brother has a flex 7 ize and my invision is by far alot better. the lens is like crystal and its snug and soft and very compfortable. it feels perfect to wear, it has the snuggness of the protues and the compfort of the flex 7

Damn... your mom plays paintball? I wish I had parents that played paintball... I say go with the flex 7. I don't like how the proteus feels on my face but it's just my preference.

I have a flex-7 ize green and i love it. Never fogs and it came with the prizm lenz and the clear. I l;ike the prizm one cause everyone looks at u like holy sh*t. Never tried the other one so I can't say my opinion. Im sure are both great masks.

Check out the V-Force Morph. Just switch from my JT Flex 7 IZE. It' much better. I picked it over the new DYE Invision beause it's easier to switch lenses than the DYE.

I love my gold Proteus :) The regular Proteus was $39.99 at www.dickspaintball.com but i don't think they're in stock anymore.

I love my proteus. Although, I liked my pre-recall proteus better than my replacement one.

i think the best part of the fles is that the whole bottom half bounces paint. its saved my butt many a time. plus the flexs look a lot nicer when they are actually on a face. imo the invisions and proteuses look ugy when actually worn. ive only heard about the morphs and stuff, but they sound impressive

Flex 7 ALL THE WAY!

I have a Flex 7 Wetex, my GF has the Moss Green IZE, and my friend has the Proteus. The IZE I like the colors, but IMHO I think the mouth guard is way too soft. I would think that it would not really slow the ball down enough. I took a hit in the mouth with my Flex 7, it bent the mouth guard and hit my lip, but no real damage... I'd dread to feel it with a soft IZE. My friends Proteus feels nice, but I dont like how the ear pieces feel on me.

I guess it all comes down to preference.

hyper i agree with u on the softness of the ize masks. i have one and that is one of the problems. If it doesn't sit just right while u store it it deforms and forming it back to the right form is a pain. but i still love it read my post above.

I just got my Flex that I bought off ebay for $36 shipped and its great, i tried to fog the lenses and nothing happened, comes with chrome tinted lenses and, it was realy comfortable. And you can't beat it for that price, if you dont mind using a red or purple one its pretty cool.
