View Full Version : *** February Mag Of The Month ***

This just in , listen up peeps. . .

PM'd from KRUGER : I would like to offer a set of wood grips as a prize for the MOTM winner. It must be either 45 frame or Emag frame, and my choice of wood. I would only require a pic of the marker that the the winner wants them for, so I can judge what wood to use.

I may offer this for each month, but we will see how it goes.

Round #2

"MAG" of the month contest...that means MAGS of any kind, only

I want to see some kick butt mags ! ! !

I will do it every month there seems to be continued interest , voting in the last week of each month, new contest on the first-ish of each month.

Near the end of the month I will narrow it down to a Final 5 (or how ever many I think are worthy) and open a public voting poll to pick the winner.

Rules:

1) Must be your Mag and NOT for sale during the month of the contest.

2) I don't care how great or sucky your pictures are, it's a gun contest not a photogenic prize.

3) 2 pictures MAX , NO GIANT WALLPAPER sized pictures....post a link if you need to. I'm the only one voting at this time so no need to 'impress' the masses....yet.

**This is the code to resize and thumbnail your pictures. Copy and paste and add the link where it says to.**

If you can't figure out how to host your pics , I will get them hosted for you.

4) One gun entered per month

5) No text posts ...PM all questions to who ever you want to ask what ever you want to ask.

I will be judging on what I think is cool or worthy ...

I'm going to elaborate on this a little

Total package , as in , everything matching. Don't have a custom anno'd gun and then something silly like a mismatched feedneck clamp.

All parts in harmony with all others. For instance , if you have a CF foregrip , better be some CF somewhere else. Or like a thrasher 'type' rail w/ an Organic (DW) Body = :nono:

Uniqueness , if there are 5 DW bodied , Vert framed , X valved etc . . . you better make yours standout somehow.

X Factor. This is that intangible quality where a marker is just . . . right. Maybe it's just perfectly clean , maybe flawless flow , I don't know only that you know it when you see it.

Lastly , I'd really like to see full functioning markers , those will get priority over the same parts just stacked up for a picture.

These will be the points the will set 2 seemingly similar markers apart.

Prizes:

Airgun Designs Lion Stickers (probably a few).

MOTM/GOTM T-Shirt. It will be one size only , XL with this design on the pocket and large Automags.org w/ the AGD daisy on the back.....

http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/4350/motmtshirt0oq.jpg

Yeah , That's Right. :)

Anything "sponsers" want to add at my discression (contact me first please)

That's it....GO ! ! !

Jay.

- Is what i like to call my ultimant creation seen for the first time in this thread.
Ive been building this thing since i got into mags, slowly gathering an idea of what i wanted in my head and compiling a list of parts i need to complete it. Finally with the help of A lot of AO members, my dad, and especially Jay from C.I. i got it done. It took 6 months but i finally have it...and i could'nt be happier :)
Heres the specs
-X valve with lvl 10 and ULT
-Warp right body by Luke coupled with a left handed set up clear warp feed and Egg 2 with Z board. I have intellifeed also but havnt bolted it up yet.
-16" Dye boomy- SSback alum front
- RPG Chimera frame with custom trigger work and some silver angel vert grips.
- Benchmark rail
- Custom made endo drop
-CP gas through
-and i use a nitro duck 90-4500 tank.

This thing is beast and weighs a bit, but with the endo drop i can just let the gun rest on my shoulder taking most the weight off of it: I knew i was taking weight training for a reason  . I can also walk it at what i guess to be about 15bps. all mech...all reliable. Thanks for reading this and i hope you like it!. :)

Here is a little sleeper I commonly refer to as "UGGH" :ninja:
That's what people (AGGIEs mostly) do when they see it, then turn and snicker.
It's during the game when the X-valved, ULE'd trigger, with a Lvl 10 shows the true colors.
The snickering stops.
Beauty is in the splat of the beholder. :D

This is my Purple Pumpmag.

The rail, feedplug, and barrel are Purple from Agd. Also not shown I have the purple agd siterail and back bottle mount.
The body is a polished limited run highrise powerfeed that AGD sold a few years ago. I believe they said one of 50 or so. The va is a kapp angel 15* with the locating tab removed. The foregip is also a kapp piece. The triggerframe and drop are both Benchmark parts. The on/off is a Cp. The revy is purple also. But unfortuantly darker. The valve is a minimag valve with a ans backhalf and a ans velocity adjustor.

I was hoping for better weather yesterday, but it kept raining all day so i had to take some indoor pics. (and i forgot to bring the camera to the field... )

Anyway, here is the X-Tac!

http://members1.chello.nl/u.haarsma/Paintballguns/DSCN3014.JPG

http://members1.chello.nl/u.haarsma/Paintballguns/DSCN3021.JPG

Specs:

- STD Xmag with emag valve
- Maxflo manifold reg
- Braided hose with q/d on both ends
- Warp feed
- Lukes 90 degree warp elbow (trimmed it a bit for a tighter profile)
- Custom painted Reloader B olive shells (Painted it like a ammo box, to add to the machinegun look)
- Lapco Bigshot barrel, 12"
- Lapco Machinegun shroud (modified to make it fit on the xmag)
- Specops A5 flattop rail (also modified to make it fit)
- Swat force Red dot scope (with extra lenses to protect the scope)
- Remove before flight tab is connected to the battery saver

The 90 degree warp elbow was trimmed down a bit so the hose would be closer to the gun body, and i made a dent in the reloader shell for more clearance. After that i bead blasted the shells, sanded the dent smooth with some putty and sandpaper, painted it olive green and added the text on the side and the dragon on top. I also added some skull decals above the battery door to suggest a kill count (doesnt represent anything, just thought it would add to the look) A final top coat of mixed matte and semi gloss laquer was added for protection, and to imitate the sheen of a actual ammo box.

The A5 flattop rail does not fit on the partial dovetail of the xmag body. But with a file i shaved some material out of the rail and made it fit. The red dot scope has been tilted a bit upward on the rear scope ring, to compensate for a paintball's trajectory and i have added protection lenzes in the scope flip up covers to protect the optics. These were milled out of a sheet of acrylic glass, and can withstand a direct hit from a paintball. (yes it already happened a few times)

The machinegun shroud was also modified because the barrel will screw in further than the shroud length. I trimmed 1/4" off the front and moved the locking ring in the back 1/4" forward to clear the radius in the marker body.

Well hope you like it... :D
