Hello all

Tired of recalibrating my warp before every day of play I found this 12v reg mod located here:
http://www.robagd.com/
http://www.robagd.com/revy-hack/ <- 12v mod

Rob has a great write up on how to wire your E/X mag to your warp using a 12 v regulator that can be housed in the warp battery compartment. Of course he also has instructions on how to make the 12v reg work. I found all the parts at radio shack (capacitors / regulator 9v connectors)

I have only tested mine in the back yard with a single hopper of paint, but it seems to work great. Maybe next week I can run it through the paces at the local field. Also it will be at the TX AO meet and greet next month at Petty's

Here are some pix and links to the album. My regulator is ugly, but it works. I put a bunch of hot glue on it to add some structural integrity. Also you will notice several prong sticking off of the back of the reg. That is a heat sink i removed from some old pc parts and dremeled down to the appropriate size. I am told the reg gets kinda hot due to the amount of energy being bleed off.

Good move on the heat sink :)

Works well ran it that way for over a year in the revy. Emag power Warp ande Revy also had a Warp board in the revy with a link to the warp.

So Shoot gun, Warp and Revy would spin :) A bit of wiring and diode work.

Nice to see those pages still being read.

Hey Dorito;

I did this mod to 2 of my warp feed but I took a completely different approach to getting the 18volts into the board and motor.

My motor is in fact getting 18volts and the board is getting 12volts. I didnt need to use the other parts you did due to the way I mounted the reg with another component. My warp spins VERY VERY fast!! (XMOD 20BPS full auto is fast in my book!)

I have some diagrams for starts and pics are comming soon (camera battery died!)

You dont need anything more than a soldering gun and a dremel or a drill with a bit.

I have a parts list too,... everything was purhcased at radio shack.

Down side to this is if you go beyond the feed rate of a revy on the warp you are going to have either chops or mis-feeds due to the revy nt feeding the warp fast enough. I had to move to a Empire B2 to keep up with my warp. If you keep your ROF about 14-16BPS you should be okay,.. but anything more your going to need a hopper that can push the stack into the warp.

Thank you Rob, for putting up the pages me and other learn about it!

Ever hear of anybody running the 12v to halo and the using a simular method to down it to bring it down to 9v?

P8nt - looking forward to seeing your pics and diagrams

I played with it a bit, never worked as well as I liked but it should be doable. Just watch your heat.
