View Full Version : How can I modify my ReTro valve to the ule trigger?

Should I do it or should I ship it out to someone? I have a retro valve and I was told its not drilled to work with the ULE. I looked online at some diagrams and it looked the same like it would already work so I'm a little confused.

Let me know who can do it.

Mine looks exactly like both of these. They are both labeled part # 814 and mine looks exactly like that. I was told that I would have to hav it modified. Why?

Can someone please explain to me why it needs to be drilled if they look exactly alike?

3/8 end mill... drill down about the thickness of an oring.. at least that was what I was told. I have one im going to try to do myself.

Yes, if you look at oring 23 on the X-valve it doesn't exist on the Retro valve so you have to mill a spot for it befor the ULT will work.

so the distance of the o-ring would do it. I'll look for a drill bit that will fit. I don't really want to buy a whole new valve I would rather try and have it modded or get it modded. Does anyone know how much it would cost?

Does anyone know how much it would cost?You need a 3/8" flat milling bit, not a drill bit. If you have access to a ridged drill press or a milling machine, then you can do it yourself. Don't try to drill/mill it by hand.

My grilfriends father has a drill press. I just need the mill bit. I'm going to wait to do it till I get the ULE trigger kit here...Shoot I still need a chrono to tune my level 10. Well I'm excited to have this thing all up-graded right.
