I've been wanting a cheap, reliable electro to fool around with. I was thinking about an Angel LCD. I have a couple questions: how reliable is it? Do they still make parts for it? Will a Revvy be enough to feed it?

Electro tanks, atleast the few I have owned in the past. Only thing to worry about these days is the battery/board giving up the ghost. Really great guns, can be a bit complex for the first time electro, might I also suggest a b2k w/ pds or a promaster.

If you want a seriously cheap electro go for a bushmaster. They're cheaper then dirt and work pretty well.

I wouldn't recommend a BKO though unless it has eyes. Most I've heard of have serious chopping problems.

Ah I never thought of the day when an angel would be refered to a CHEAP marker....

Go for it, you cannot go wrong. They do not actively make parts for it to my knowledge, but there are lots of aftermarket things that you can buy after the stock ones wear out. Other than the battery an board, there should be no real issues (just o-rings, etc). In the unlikely event that the battery or board die, they can be replaced, or go with an aftermarket board that takes 9-volt batteries.

You can get Vikings for pretty cheap too. You can get an 04 unmilled for around $350. That's as reliable as you're gonna get.

You can do A LOT to customize them also. ;)

Awesome markers...I still see LEDs made in 1996 at my local field, so there's no question of reliability. Accessories are not still made for them, but if you find anything in stock at a store it's likely to be pretty cheap. There are still plenty of places that service them (TAG, Performance Angel, etc.) though.

i've got to drop 2 cents here.
i think one of the best values out there right now is an 03 matrix. those guns are tankish, they can still compete and you can get them for $250. but it's hard to beat a $100 angel.

How tough is it to get parts for old trixes these days?
