Ugh... I hate corps bands.

You in Ohio?

Cuyahoga Falls kicks more butt. Swing style, baby! Here's the 2006 Massillon show (http://www.cftigerband.org/massillon06.WMV). The audio is eff'd up, but the marching is great.

The video I posted was from this season. I was in it before I graduated though.

Alex, that's really wierd. We have a Mansfield and an Arlington in OH, and thier high schools are both corps style.

What do you play? I have a POS Jupiter trombone that I used for marching band, but I have a really effin' nice Bach Stradavarious for concert. I miss band...

BOA huh? Kinda sloppy for BOA. I played three years in my highschool marching band and I've been playing trumpet for 9 years now. I marched with Southern Regional High School, we were one of the biggest group 4 bands in TOB. After my graduating class they kinda went down hill. I do however love the corps sound you guys have. I'm a huge fan of corps and was going to march with Cadets/Crossman but money and time came in the way of that. My trumpet instructor was in the Cadets for Rocky Point Holiday and West Side Story. He also taught them for a few years. My band director was the director of the Hawthorne Caballeros and then went to become the brass instructor of The Magic of Orlando.

actually, this was my first year, so i was in pit... ive play the piano for... around 11 years. i really wish we had a more front-ensemble oriented effect... our electronics system is horrible. bleh. i hated it. that is why i am learning how to play tenors.

as i said, this is my first year, so i dont know the history... but this year we have a new instructor... it can only get better from here. ill try to get aj in here... he can tell you more than i can.

Tenors are fun, if you can play them :D One of our line instructors marched tenors for the Scouts in 03.

I think it is fair to say that I win the ultimate “Marching Band Geek” award.

That’s my chest, and that’s a tattoo of the end of my High School’s Alma Matter.

“Our own Muskegon High”

Yes, the second quarter note needs to be dotted (since been fixed).

The video…

Highly impressive! Nice music, great marching.

What a bunch of band geeks. J/k. I use to play Percussion. Started pits freshman played quads my senior year. To behonest that's probably the thing I miss most about high school. Being able to play with out having to worry about life.
