ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE UPCOMING APRIL MOTM :

Aprils MOTM will be an "Old Skool , Classic Mag only competition ! ! Dust 'em off ,shine 'em up and let's see some Old Skool Mag Repp'in.

Round 3 , be sure to note the additional prizes this month ! !

"MAG" of the month contest...that means MAGS of any kind, only

I want to see some kick butt mags ! ! !

I will do it every month there seems to be continued interest , voting in the last week of each month, new contest on the first-ish of each month.

Near the end of the month I will narrow it down to a Final 5 (or how ever many I think are worthy) and open a public voting poll to pick the winner.

Rules:

1) Must be your Mag and NOT for sale during the month of the contest.

2) I don't care how great or sucky your pictures are, it's a gun contest not a photogenic prize.

3) 2 pictures MAX , NO GIANT WALLPAPER sized pictures....post a link if you need to. I'm the only one voting at this time so no need to 'impress' the masses....yet.

**This is the code to resize and thumbnail your pictures. Copy and paste and add the link where it says to.**

<a href="Picture URL Here"><img src="Picture URL Here" width="600" height="450"></img></a>
If you can't figure out how to host your pics , I will get them hosted for you.

4) One gun entered per month

5) No text posts ...PM all questions to who ever you want to ask what ever you want to ask.

I will be judging on what I think is cool or worthy ...

I'm going to elaborate on this a little

Total package , as in , everything matching. Don't have a custom anno'd gun and then something silly like a mismatched feedneck clamp.

All parts in harmony with all others. For instance , if you have a CF foregrip , better be some CF somewhere else. Or like a thrasher 'type' rail w/ an Organic (DW) Body = :nono:

Uniqueness , if there are 5 DW bodied , Vert framed , X valved etc . . . you better make yours standout somehow.

X Factor. This is that intangible quality where a marker is just . . . right. Maybe it's just perfectly clean , maybe flawless flow , I don't know only that you know it when you see it.

Lastly , I'd really like to see full functioning markers , those will get priority over the same parts just stacked up for a picture.

These will be the points the will set 2 seemingly similar markers apart.

Prizes:

Again from KRUGER : I would like to offer a set of wood grips as a prize for the MOTM winner. It must be either 45 frame or Emag frame, and my choice of wood. I would only require a pic of the marker that the the winner wants them for, so I can judge what wood to use.

I may offer this for each month, but we will see how it goes.

This month only donated by jay8541:

For the next MOTM I would like to donate to the winner their choice of these two brand new Powerlyte Gripstix rt Style trigger frames if i win for my entry of that month then the runner up gets there choice let me know

Airgun Designs Lion Stickers (probably a few).

Anything "sponsers" want to add at my discression (contact me first please)

That's it....GO ! ! !

Jay.

Heres my Purple Zgrip RT mag. Started as a classic rt rail set. I then added a emag valve with retro back with ult, minimag body. The zgrip is also for a classic rt. To say it has problems is a huge understatement. Gotta send it to Tuna.

Um I hope that works, sorry I don't know how to put it up. I tried using that code but it shows up as a white box with a red X inside. Well the marker is a 68 classic with a expansion chamber, arsom rifled barrel, and some wooden grips. Has a nice little old school touch to it if you ask me.

EDIT: Uploaded it now, but I think the pic will be kinda small as I needed to resize it... thanks for looking guys.

EDIT: AGAIN DAD DRAT IT! I'll find some way to put it up lol!

Is this month for all classics like Tom said last month or what ?

When he ponies up some shirts or prizes , then I'll do a 2 a month. ;) I've already got a few hundred tied up in shirts alone and am going to have to make more to finish out this year.

BUT . . .

I'm more than willing to make next month a "Classic , Old Skool" MOTM and probably will at this point.

Nightmare+automag= Nightmag

Which is what is what i like to call my ultimant creation seen in this thread.
Ive been building this thing since i got into mags, slowly gathering an idea of what i wanted in my head and compiling a list of parts i need to complete it. Finally with the help of A lot of AO members, my dad, and especially Jay from C.I. i got it done. It took 6 months but i finally have it...and i could'nt be happier
Heres the specs
-Minimag valve with lvl 10 and ULT
-Warp right body by Luke coupled with a left handed set up clear warp feed and Egg 2 with Z board. I have intellifeed also but havnt bolted it up yet.
-16" Dye boomy- SSback alum front+ 10" dye SS barrel
- RPG Chimera frame with custom trigger work and some silver angel vert grips.
- Benchmark rail
- Custom made endo drop
-CP gas through
- Intellifeed feed for the warp
-and i use a nitro duck 90-4500 tank.

This thing is beast and weighs a bit, but with the endo drop i can just let the gun rest on my shoulder taking most the weight off of it: I knew i was taking weight training for a reason . I can also walk it at what i guess to be about 15bps. all mech...all reliable. Thanks for reading this and i hope you like it!.

I changed it up a little this month to improve the look a little bit- maybe ill place higher this time! I dont shoot fast but rather accurately so i dont need an X valve for this project.

- Luke's grips
- System X drop and asa
- Stako tank (the lightest euro tank available) with Guerilla air reg
- Redz pepper stick

This is my fav. gun. The irony is i rarely play with it because i dont want to damage it. But next sunday i will take it to the field and play with it. Its a real shame owning one and not use it, i love xmags! :D

This is an XMag I pieced together. I took a dremel and file to parts of the body and frame. lol I opened up the area around the valve so the X on the Pewter valve would be completely visible, since the older XValves engravings are off a touch. I also cut out part of the body on the rear under the valve to give it a little more shape. I also flattened the top some, between the breech and rear of the body. I also trimmed just a touch off the top/front just ahead of the feedneck. I flattened the back of the battery housing and cut out that area just behind the trigger like RRfireblade does. I also modded this ccm feedneck myself. Tools I used in this project, dremel, flat file, and many grades of wet sandpaper. :)

A pic of the rear.
