I just installed a level 10 in my minimag and in order to even fire my velocity has to be cranked up so high that the regulator starts to vent. I used the original spring first but it wouldn't reset the bolt. I'm now using the red spring and 2 shims. The carrier fits perfect and everything is oiled. The marker will cycle but the reg is always venting. Do I have a problem with my reg.? Can I adjust something?

your going to need to get a new regulator piston .... this a known problem when upgrading to the level 10 on older classic valves http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=30&categoryID=18

Use a larger carrier (the largest one that doesn't leak) with the same oring. Remove all the shims when you do this.

The regulator piston assembly definately sounds like it needs to be replaced.
