I have to abstain(sp?), both guns are good, but I dont think either of them would be my fantasy e-mag.

I like Hexis's. snyreal was neat but I think I would buy a Hexis mag before I bought the other.

I designed the gun in Solidworks, exported to 3ds to render with a simple chrome and colored metal texture, then put together different renderings in Photoshop.

I sorry Hexis, but damn that milling is fine. Good job Synreal.

i think hexis's is the bomb, with the poewrfeed modular feeds, do they have those or did he make those up?

Wow, Both designs are beautiful but I had to vote for Synreal. It was a design that I would buy. What really surprises me is that both designs have the standard 45 grip frame and not the Z-grip. Oh well. Good Luck to you both.

What happens when one wins?

If I remember correctly...
-1st place gets an RT Pro
-2nd places gets a Warp and Triggernomics trigger

I think both did a fantastic job... I liked the overall design of Hexis' with the AGD lions and all the different looks of the gun. I also liked that he put the tank on too. But Synreal got my vote. I didn't like the battery in a remote location... That would involve wires or a special protective hose of some kind or something like that. Synreal kept the electrics contained in the gun and worked with it. I love the milling around the valve and on the battery pack. Very cool.

Great job guys.

Hell I would've wanted second place, I'm about ready to kill for a Triggernomics trigger.

I want one because I can't get one.

I dunno... power feed modules just weren't doin' it for me. nor was the grips on hexis' 'mag. I like the e-mag's square battery/grip. It makes it unique; with the other one, it looks like a plain' ol mag.

Not that there's anything wrong with plain 'mags :D

if i were to buy one of thouse it would have to be on #37, it would be red and have the milling of the red and yellow ones mixed together because the yellow one have our teams logo and the red one has fire and or team is fire hazard

They are both very nice and I am sure both put an extremely lot of work into them, but i must say, Hexis's from a distance looks like a spyder shutter, and synreal's is just a regular Emag with some milling done to it. I did however vote for synreal's because its nicer than hexis's in my mind, but i wouldnt buy either of those had there been another choice for us to vote for...

^ I agree with this ^

Yep, i said the SAME exact thing...in the post above yours manike, what i meant was they are just regular guns with some milling, i forgot the name of the guy who did the gun with the lion body, but i would of voted for that one in a heartbeat, it was no doubt the best of them all

The hunt is still on for a surface file or STL file of a Lion so that I can make a form of that gun reality...

Someone must be able to find one on the net somewhere!

I just wanted you all to know that the idea for showing off as much as the valve as possible in the second 'hot off the mill body design' came from Synreals competition entry.

You see we are trying to put these ideas into practice!

I think both parties did a good job and I dont want to come off as nocking their work. BUT, I was expecting NEW designs not doctored up photo's of emags with some custom milling. In my opinion neither of these entries represent much of a step foreward in design. Perhaps I misunderstood the object of the contest but I thought AGD was looking for design innovations. Anyway, I am glad that the company is having contests and I congradulate the winners-to-be..

hexis correct me if i am wrong here, but i personally tried to create a design that was different enough to be distinctive, but could still be created using existing components.

my goal was to create something unique that could be prototyped with relative ease and without having to start from scratch on an already excellent platform. i strived for something that could be on the shelves in a matter of months, rather than years.

Does AGD have a plan for making the winning Fantasy E-mag or was this just to see what we would like the e-mag to look like??Also,i was suprised that NEITHER of them had Z-Grips.Thats the one thing i'm waiting till AGD comes out with untill i buy me an E-mag.UNLESS they decide to NEVER make them with um.

Part of my design goal was to make something that was 100% compatible with current parts. Mine is completely based on the current valve and grip. You would need a very small part (basically a sleeve around the power chamber) to make synreal's also 100% compatible with current valves.

My design goal was to make my dream e-mag. Mine is pretty much exactly what you see. I like clean lines. I like simple parts. The only part of my design that I added for others was the sight rail. I don't think a sight or sight rail has any place on a paintball marker.

I also based part of my design on AGD's statement somewhere that a Z-Grip E-Mag wasn't really possible. That's why I didn't include a Z-Grip version.

Thought of something else, I think the reason you didn't see way far out ideas was because there was a very nice prize and it was decided by a popular vote. I know I have some wacked out ideas that I didn't enter because they would have gotten about 3 votes. After all is said and done I will post pics of those ideas as well.

I like them both, but I gotta go with Hexis's. I love the color schemes that come with his and the angled foregrip. It resembles the black magic cocker.
