Z-mag pic

this is my new Z-mag!! I bought most of this on ebay, with the exception of the barrel, drop forward and the CP on/off. this isn't exactly what it's going to look like, I have another mag in san diego with the Y-Grip and I'm going to mix and match some parts...but i bought this so I could play while I wait to get my stuff back from diego. I can't WAIT to play with this!! :headbang:

I have a foregrip coming for the z-mag. also you'll have to excuse the shrink wrap on the macro, I haven't shrunk it yet. i also plan on having luke do some things to my z-mag (like mill the wings off, fit it for some custom grip panels, probably put a new trigger in it) but that's all cosmetics that i'll take care of later when money is more bountiful. i have a blue colored bike grip, with a 15* angled ASA coming in the mail to attach the foregrip to my rail then the z-mag should be about done. right now i only have one hopper to share between the two guns (luckily i'll only be using one at a time!) it's a reloader 2. if anyone knows where i can get another reloader 2 i would greatly appreciate it if you told me =]

I can't WAIT! i won't get my other mag home till around...the 23rd or so. will update when I get both guns where I want them! :headbang:

ok so this is my mag that's sitting in san diego right now. pretty stock, I know. only difference is now it has a blue CP drop and ON/OFF. as you can see, I have the blue ULE body and a blue barrel on my z-grip. so when I get the two guns together, one will be all black, and one will be all blue (with the exception of the grip, as they are both black) I just can't figure out which one I want to be all blue/black. I also don't know which one will get the Xvalve, and which will get the Emag valve. does anybody know which is heavier, a Y-grip or a Z-grip? i'll probably put the Emag valve on the lighter gun, to even them out, or maybe i'll put it on the heaver one so i'll have one heavy gun and one light gun. who knows?! all I know is I can't wait to get my Y-mag back!!

I wish I would have known about them before I bought the one from fbm. oh well. fbmfactory says they are patent pending! lol so better hurry up and buy all the compulsive ones you want before fbm goes all SP on us and starts suing. :clap:

I set mine up with that, but there is only about 1/4" between the shoulder of the tank and the place on the back of the frame where my thumb wants to go. I'm sure there will be some differences based on ASA choice and the shape of your tank, but it might require some adjustments to your grip position (your hand, not the z).

i'm thinking the wedge rail in conjunction with the CP drop, which is a pretty small drop should be pretty good. i just can't wait to get it all here so i can start tinkering and figure out the best setup! :headbang:

well i played with my z-mag today.

first thing i noticed is that it is really uncomfortable to hold right now. that's because all i have for attaching my tank to my marker is a drop forward, as my rail hasn't come in the mail yet. but i pretty much expected that i just wanted to shoot it.

it had the E-Mag valve with original on/off. the marker shot pretty well at first but if I wasn't really careful the RT bounce would break balls in the barrel. i'm pretty sure it's shooting a ball at one velocity and then immediately shooting another at a slightly higher velocity which collides with the first ball in the barrel. it's really annoying and I hate it, so i stopped playing with the z-mag, until i can make it more comfortable and pulled out my y-mag.

i had been having some problems with the y-mag as well, similar to the ones i explained with the zmag. I took the emag valve from the z-grip, put the ULT from the xvalve and put it in the e-mag valve, removed two of the four shims, put the valve in my y-mag and it shoots beautifully. all that's left is to get another ULT for my x-valve, and a more comfortable set-up and i'll have two awesome markers.

Well my marker is working good now. I took the wedge off. there is alot of side to side play on mine. it was a pos design. It uses ball bearings to hold the wedge to the asa. the ball beaerings are held in place by 2 set screws. there is alot of side to side play on mine...the dove tails do not match up very well because its being pushed up and down as oposed to side to side like other rails ive used. :bounce: want new pics?

i played this weekend with my z-gripped RT. had a blast. i also had issues with my valve. remove a shim, replace a shim. just weird. but it was a blast. i'm thinking about a wedge, just so i can get more compact. my friend is got a couple of videos of us playing. let me know if you would like to see.
