Where can I get cheap emag batteries. I looked on tunamart and they were 80 bucks :eek: . So is this my only choice besides used?

Yeah I do believe that is your only choice if you don't buy used.

You can make your own pack out of 12 NiMH AA batteries. It would be 18volts. try it at your own risk though it may not work with the emag charger or with the elevtronics at all. And probably wouldn't save you that much either.

you would actually need 14 aaa's and the savings are only had if you build it your self. i had one built for $65 and built my own for like $18.

14aas is 21volts...1.5volts each probably wouldn't hurt though but I wouldn't try it 18 is enough :P

ok then how do you make your own?Well, to do it right you would need a spot welder to weld the cells together. That's what I'm going to be doing all day today in fact. Spot welders cost money so that's why as a practical matter you're better off just buying the pack from Tuna.

Some people have bought cells and soldered everything together and I've seen older threads here on that. Like a lot of things, you'll have to do some work to save some money.
