For a normal day of paintball...

I'm interested to see what kind of setups people use when they play.
When you're out playing paintball, what kind of stuff do you use? What type of mask, gun, harness, clothes, other accessories, etc? Also, if you have a reason for a particular item, let's hear it.

Example:

Mask: JT Flex 8 full coverage with the thermal lense and a Vortex Fan.
Gun: ULE Emag w/ Halo B and 88/45
Harness: NXE 4+1 with 140 round blue pods
Clothes: Camo pants, steel toe boots, a long sleeve shirt (or short if its hot), and poofy vest. A Cup (Don't leave home without it). And armor gloves.
Other accessories: Stick squeegee.


The cup and the glove should be self explanatory, but the poofy vest (its poofy like gore-tex) sometimes will bounce a paintball off, instead of it breaking, which is always nice.

This is meant to be less of a brag-about-my-gun thread and more of a besides-the-gun-what-else question

Mask: Custom cut JT Alpha mask and plastic imitation kevlar helmet with camo cover.
Gun: Currently either a Tiberius T9 covert or my old JT excellerator 3.0 with realtree cover.
Harness: Either a tactical harness with kingman 4 pod holder and remote or a 2 pod belt holder.
Clothes: My "retired" air force BDU uniform, olive nomex pilot gloves and chest/back padding. (for those guys who love using over chroned A5's ¬.¬)
Other accessories: small box of needed tools, washcloth/towel, camel bak, squeegee, travel size bottle of windex.

Speedball:

Mask: Black JT proflex and backwards b-ball cap.
Gun: RT Pro with warp left ULE body, warp feed, ricochet apache lcd loader, pure energy 68/3000 tank, black NXe tank cover, shocktech drop with on/off asa and proto 12" barrel.
Harness: 2007 NXe 3+2+2 avalanche.
Clothes: Evil X racer jersy grey #0, black pilot nomex gloves (again, air force, i had a hookup) black BDU pants and some hiking boots!
Other accessories: small box of needed tools, washcloth/towel, squeegee, travel size bottle of windex.

I use this gear for woods, and not always in the same configuration. (depends on what i want to wear and play with)

Mask: V-Force Shield or morph (shield in camo, morph in OD)
Gun: CNC Xmag, STD Xmag, Minimag, Micromag, Automag, ACI Maverick. (Usually i bring more than 1 gun when i go play)
Harness: Reds comfort 4+3 or Specops broadsword vest.
Pants: Planet eclipse 06 distortion pants blue, or specops marauder camo pants, or german army issue flecktarn camo pants.
Shirt/Jersey: German army issue shirt, flectarn camo, woodland longsleeve, specops marauder jersey, and i got a draxxus and a HK army jersey for speedball (hardly wear it)
Headwrap: Flectarn camo bandana, black bandana with skulls on it, Specops camo baseball cap, blue/white headband, not sure who made it.
Gloves: JT gloves, (busted those, they suck) Dye 06 gloves grey, Invert 07 woodland gloves.
Footwear: Dutch army issue boots, and for speedball a pair of cheap soccer shoes.
Protection: Empire ground pounder knee protectors.
Other gear: Swabs, squigie, über toolkit, 4500 psi scuba, fillstation, food, water, towels, neon yellow safety vest for taking pictures, barrelsocks, hoppers, rechargable 9V batteries, airtanks, CO² tank.. (prolly forgot some stuff, but heck)

Yeah, i usually bring a lot of stuff when i go play. :)

The most important stuff to bring at the field is:

- Goggle
- Barrelsock
- Gun
- Hopper
- Airtank/CO²
- Paint (if BYO)
- Towel (for wiping hits off before the next game)
- Water (for cleaning an drinking)
- Swab and/or squigie (always comes in handy)
- A spare parts kit and tools to fix your marker in case of a problem. (this should include everything you think you will be needing in case of a breakdown)

The toolkit does not nessasarily have to be all the parts that could break, just take stock on things like bottle o-rings, batteries if you use them, marker o-rings, oil/grease, tools, etc. And having a backup gun is a real good idea if your main gun breaks down, or someone else's.

Nike baseball cleats (big toe cleat) <- same thing as with the slideshorts, if you haven’t, get some.
Fingerless leather motercycle gloves... they have kevlar in the palms for some awsome slides.
Any of my NXe packs, but my avalanche 3+2+2 is the fav...
digicamo bandana around the neck, and sometimes mouth. I learned that from airsoft. Accuse me of militant before agg please.
Digicamo ACU BDU's and tac vest for airsoft and bushballin days.

DM3+no point to list it all: haven’t used it too much recently, friend has it as backup
DM5+virtue: my current main, Only thing that beats a DM's trajectory is a mag.
06 Ego+hardshell, ti rammer, pulse RF chip: Same friend has this as his main currently. Its fast and light... but thats about it.
x-valve rt pf body w/ old dye ss twistlock barrel, and intelliframe... Its a nice mag but...

My personal fav and by far the one that gets the most use out of everything...
Classic valve, ULE, CF stock frame, with no foregrip of any kind. This usually gets the DW whisper barrel on it w/ 45/45 and revvy. :D. The looks are worth it alone.

Smoke pulse w/ new black board (whatever the difference is???) and speed wheel.

Empire B2 w/ speedwheel. <- Nothing is faster. In fact this thing is too fast. Have to keep it 1/4 full or balls cannot even get into the raceway the paddles go so fast, it just popcorns. (Board melted and I’m still waiting for it to come back)

Revvy!!! my fav never breaks. Revvy + ego = win :rofl:

Crossfire tanks... 45/45, 68/45 (on loan), 92/45. Have a spare Maxflo tank reg for the 92/45 when I feel like being a :argh:.

Barrels! Matrix stock barrel, dye UL, SS Boomstick <-god of barrels, SS freak and twistlock freak w/ 2X 16" teardrops, and 20" tactical<poke that thing thru some bushes! :shooting: , CP 14 inch, equation 8", DW wisper 16", lucky 15 kit, stiffi switch blue CF front ... and I think there are a few more, I don’t clean barrels out during the day. Just change them out.

And yes. All of this goes with me when I play. Thus my truck is the most important piece of paintball equipment.

Loader: Mags got an Egg, and Halo for everything else.
random: straight shot squeegee, toolkit, spare batteries, random barrel Bags, spare gloves for tha noobs, a towel, and spare pods.
