Only a couple of months ago I started seeing a lot of Vikings & Excals for sale. They seem to be going for top dollar and pretty rare. Recently I have seen a flood of them going relativly cheap, so I picked one up localy. It's got a WAS in it, but with which version is on it I'm trying to figure that out. According to the WAS manual it has 3 modes RED: dwell, GREEN: debounce, ORANGE: eye mode. In addition I have rapid flashing red, green, orange & alternating green/orange. Anyone have any idea what these additional settings are for? As for the Viking its very fast (semi), not to heavy, little recoil, and very very low pressure. I only had about 400psi in it and it ran flawlessly. Here's a pic of it:

You have WAS 2.0 code. It gives you ROF, ramping etc.

Thats a nice looking 'king. Only think I would say is to get a new feedneck. For some reason I don't like the stock that much but its yours so whatever you say. :headbang: witht he viking!

Other than the feedneck, get the DC Mitey Max if you don't have one on there. It's not really a performance upgrade but it will make it look nicer.

Thats an '04 right? I'm new to vikings, I just bought one on Friday and I'm waiting for it too come. I bought an '03.

I'm guessing '04 because it's got the SCM, that is an SCM right?

If you look at the driver side eye cover you know what year. If it is long it is 03 and if it is short, like this one, it's an 04.

Its actually easier to tell by looking at the power switch. If its on the side its an 04 and if its on the back its an 03 or earlier.

If you want a feedneck for it ive got one ill let go for cheap, maybe even free.

Would somebody mind explaining the backwards bolt for dry firing thing. If I'm right you turn the bolt around when you want to dry fire the gun, does this make it more efficient, quite, whats the benefit? Does the gun assemble in exactly the same way, except the bolt goes in backwards?

I'm so exited and my viking won't be here till this weekend.

you can take out the bolt and turn it 180 or flip it backwards so it points back, I perfer turning it upside down. Its quiter and uses less air when you want to practice walking for just for the hell of it. The bolt still moves the same but its more like a noid click with the bolt moving.

everything in the gun is the same, when you dry fire, you can even think about turning your velocity down.

Or you can look at the grip frame relative to the tray. On '04s the grip frame and the tray are even, on earlier models the body and tray extend back.
