I cannot wait to have this discussion again eight weeks in to the season after Moss has accomplished one of three things:
1) Injured himself
2) Done something monumentally bone-headed on or off the field to earn a suspension
3) Not performed anywhere near what New England is expecting him to

My money's on #3, but I'd settle for #2 as I'm sure he'll come up with novel ways to make a fool of himself.

this is going to be the only thing you'll be seeing on or off the field..

What, the Lions defense being atrocious? Shocking. :p

Moss has (or had) the ability to be a difference maker.

The Patriots are, at least one would think, "in it".

The Patriots can do it without him - if he gives the slightest hint of being a problem personality wise they will cut him, and both he and they know it.

I think it could be a place for him to get that ring he wants, and I think he knows to do so he has to play by their rules.

It might work.

the same thing was said of corey dillon..

'he's a troublemaker'
'bad seed'

he came here and was a model teammate for a handful of years....

i think moss realizes this is probably his one and only chance to get a ring with a legitimate contender.

Whats your point? Theyre still not going to win.

Not only the addition of Moss but also:

Merriweather.
Thomas.
Walker.
Stallworth.
Washington.

Merriweather = suspended/cut
Thomas = overrated
Walker = Walker who? That guy from Miami named Welker? The guy nobody took serious enough to cover, which is why he got all those receptions, and isnt any better than what you had previously?
Stallworth = disabled list benchwarmer
Washington = oooh Im so scared

You lose.

That wait and see completely contradicts your "Might as well hand out the hardware now" statement. Youre making progress. Speaking of stupid Boston teams trying to buy championships, hows Dice K doing?

Hmm, same as last year. Record right now really doesn't matter :) I seem to recall the Yankees were proclaimed dead before the All Star break. Who didn't make the play offs?
