I know that p2xtremes magazine is affiliated, but why when you go to 888paintball.com it goes directly to the magazine and NOT the web store?

yup. I used to order tons of stuff from them. Shipments would arrive the next day. I havent used them in a while since I had a problem with a paint order.. but I was looking for something and figured I would check their site only for it to not be there.

probably since they were shipping out of NJ... i'm sure the kee merger has someting to do with it.

Kee Action Sports (NPS) has deceided not to sell retail anymore. Therefore, no more 888paintball.

Well thats kinda sad to see them go. I got my first paintball gun (Spyder Compact 2000) from them in 1999 and several things afterwards.

That was always a difference of opinion between NPS and PMI.

NPS would sell stuff on 888paintball cheaper than I could buy it as an NPS dealer. It sucks getting undercut by your own supplier.

PMI on the other hand would not undercut their dealers no matter what. In fact, they just didn't sell retail at all.

They used to list things on their site with the MSRP but no way to actually purchase it, always had to go through their dealers.

Nice to see that at least that part of PMI survived the merger.

If I am correct they are somehow associated with 800 paintball, so it was like 888 paintball and 800 paintball had similar websites.

800paintball was one of NPS's original distributors or competition (I forget which now), but they bought them out and so the websites were both basically for the same company and the same products, but shipping from different warehouses.

IIRC 888 was in NJ and 800 was in the Midwest somewhere (like IN I think).

I remember reading about them shutting down 888 back when they first announced the PMI/NPS merger. If I'm not mistaken they even had it mentioned in the article that announced the merger.
