Hey fellas. Need some advice about night vision devices. Am thinking about getting a gen 1 or 2 device but need to hear from you guys with experience with them on the correct type/brand to get that will work with a mask on. Is the distance from the eye to the device called "focal length"? Thanks

 Are you talking about how to attach it to your mask? I have that part covered already.

nightvision works until smartasses like me figure out you're gonna use... then i rig up IR diodes with batteries in such a way that they blink, as with making an IR 'flare; :P

AAhhh, well I also use a light on my marker. I got a Brinkmann Maxfire LX Lithium Xenon Flashlight from walmart and a set of 1 in. scope rings. I put a ring around the flashlight by the pushbutton and mount it on top of my tac-one. To use it I have my hand high on the front grip and push the button with my thumb. It works VERY well and is VERY bright. Much lighter then a 1,000,000,000 candlepower spotlight that weighs 10 lbs. All of my kills at night were accomplished with this and stating aloud "Do you give up?"

You mean something along the lines of this?

The only thing that I had issues with is the fact that if you use a scope, then you cannot really get close enough to the scope to take full advantage of the capabilites of the scope. This is because of the mask. Still works pretty good tho. I had a fore grip extension milled out by a buddy of mine to give the platform a bit more stability. I no longer have the tac one as pictured, it has evolved to something else. The foregrip extension and the night scope are availible tho. If interested, pm me.

Its funny how if you keep them long enough they morph into something different.
You working on an AO day up there ? Maybe do it for later this year before the weather gets
too nasty up there. Like October/November ? I know here in central Florida theres a
boat load of peeps that would go. Might have to have 10 in a room to afford it though. :tard:
LOL
