Theyre all just tubes that paintballs travel through, the 'best' one, in terms of accuracy, will vary with what paint you use, one barrel isnt any more accurate than another, its all a matter of paint to barrel match, thats why the interchangeable bore barrels are rather popular, its one barrel that can shoot any bore size, and saves you from buying multiple barrels to get that 'perfect' match.

If a barrel has a high rockwell hardness (smooth) it will shoot more accurate. Most balls aren't round, so the part of the ball that is makeing contact with the ball will grip more and couse an in-barrel spin... SPINNING IS BAD.

DYE boomsticks are Stainless Steel, very smooth. So you will generally have a higher accuracy with a good paint/bore match.

My fav is AA/freak system. It is aluminum but Smart Parts has a anodizing system to get a very high rockwell hardness, higher then SS. So you get the light weight of aluminum, smoothness of Steel, and with the freak- many bore sizes.

Also anything buffed brass is good too- kinda hard to find though.

let me tell you, I shot RPS All stars through my All American the other day, and it absolutely rocked the day. By far the best day I have had playing in months because of the awesome combination. 14" AA barrel, venturi bolt, classic AIR valve, PF.

I think the Boomstick is the best of the given choices, but I think the Smart Parts Big Daddy is better than that and it costs the same. You can actually find them for about $65 on sale sometimes.

If your gonna get the best, get a Freak, nothin but nothin matches its performance. If ya want a less expensive barrel Try the new All American. If its for tourney, hands down Freak, but if your playing rec and use same paint all the time i Recommend aa All American. IMO, based on personal experience......

I don't think many people have heard of BOA's but i have a 10inch. and it's amazing look into one they aren't as expensive as boomsticks though

Of all the barrels that I tried the Smart Parts ALL Stainless AA was the best no question! The Smart Parts AA Teardrop (Big Daddy) was a close second. Both these barrels were 14" long.

been shooting a freak for 9 months it is very accurate,i recently bought the all american tip (14") for it so far i like it better than my freak front.also i havent touched my velocity in months. all i do is match my paint and 291-296 every time. ilove it.
i keep a custom products barrel around to match my drop forward......

Rockwell hardness does not relate with smoothness. Machined aluminum barrels are smoother than SS... but doesn't matter.

As long as the barrel is machined well, they're all the same thing... length, porting, bore size is what determines the performance.

no question, the complete freak. 8 bore sizes, three different lengths, two different styled fronts, two different metal backs, bunches of colors, and works for any 'gun. hey, have more than one 'gun, all u have to do is buy a $50 back. no need to buy a whole new barrel. the freak is pimp.

Smart Parts All American Stainless Splash... thats what i got. super nice barrel, 100 bux. is what i paid.

Its everybit if not more accurate than a boomstick- on my friends angel. i know how to shoot my friends angel, and my mag, and i hardly see any difference, except the AA is a little easier to predict

BOA makes great barrels. I got a used one in great condition for $20. Shoots great and it's only 11". Not to heavy either. It's brass tipped and i think it's all brass and has crome on top, but i'm not sure. Whatever it is, super smooth and great shooting barrels.

Thats by far the best, big bore, accurate, and short.
