Hey all im looking into buying another automag RTP off of a member here in the forums, the problem is i need to know if the RT valve is an aluminum RT valve and not the stainless steel RT valve. The reason is i want to put a ULT kit on the marker but i DO NOT want to have to drill the valve so the second o-ring will fit from the ULT. are there any sure fire markings or can i look up the serial number to check if it is an aluminum valve? any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If it's 'all' aluminum , then it'll be an "X" valve , "Xmag" valve , "RTX" or an "Emax" valve. Some of the SS RT's will accept the ULT but theres really no way to tell for sure without looking. The newer the better chance of course but the SN# is a tough way to guage that.

Only way to know for sure , and this should not be a problem to ask a seller , is how many o-rings in the bottom of the on/off. 1 is a no go , 2 and your golden. I've had quitea few SS RTs that took the ULT without milling.
