View Full Version : On/off pin...too long, or too short?

I've got a Hyperframe 'Mag and I'm using the Hyperframe on/off in a classic valve. With a level 7 bolt installed I had no problems. Now, with a level 10 bolt after shooting it about 100 times the edge is chewed up a bit.

The on/off pin measures exactly .7528 inches in length.

Is this damaged caused by the pin being too short, or too long...or is it something else?

Here are some close up pictures of the damage. Click on thumbnail for full size close ups...

What board do you have in there? If the dwell is adjustable, raise it some.

What board do you have in there? If the dwell is adjustable, raise it some. It's the stock 13 bps board. I'm not sure if the dwell is adjustable or not, the manual says something about entering a service mode but the only adjustment it talks about is increasing the power to the solenoid in case it's not enough to push the sear.

Here is an article on what happens with the stock center flag on/off. You need to either get a RT on/off with a .750 pin or a ULT.

Agood thread on the HyperFrame Here:

My personal settings using a stock board, RT/Xvalve, RT on/off with .750 pin: Is 5, Fd 1, Fn 5

too short.......sear is catching the bolt at the same time the bolt is airing up

if you get a longer pin it will turn on later and the sear will have more to grab

but again i only used my mag with the CF on off in a mech mode....and it did that....i bought a RT pin that was longer and it solved the problem in mech use

then i put on a booyah and still no problems
