Anyone have a problem with then freak kit being crooked?
When I look down the barrel the insert is off center, is there a way to fix that maybe with new o-rings in the back??
Sometimes it causes barrel breaks other times not a problems, most likely b/c of the paint i use that day.

Any suggestions......

I have the same problem with a SS back. Only thing I could find was to buy a new one. :(

Wait one minute! Are you saying that a Smart Parts product isn't living up to the hype? :nono:

LOL

I am sorry for your troubles but I find this amusing. Would SP let you return or exchange it for one that is properly milled?

I would contact SP or whoever you purchased it from to correct the problem

i would send a bomb to SP headquarters. then when the building explodes try to catch a new insert as it flies by with the other shrapnel. :ninja:

it depends, sometimes if you rotate the insert it sometimes lines up better, try that before going to sp or buying another back

I bought it used on AO, and I tried all the inserts and rotating them, no luck.

Maybe if i get new o-rings on for the back?

Just get a normal barrel. Dye Boomstick FTW.
Smartparts sucks. Their Quality control sucks. I have backs that do the same thing, and insets that are bored off center, Al ones with bad anno burrs, and SS ones that are obviously were not honed because they are rippled on the inside. Good idea, but its just a PITA.

I have a full SS and Al kits, 1 SS AC back, 1 Al AC back,1 Al Imp back, a Deadlywind barrel, and more tips than I know what to do with... Inserts are goofy. Just get nice paint and a nice barrel. Thankfully I have a unusually nice SS .689 that goes in the DW barrel otherwise it would be in the back of the closet too.

I just tried spinning the insert and that seemed to work, man SP quality control isn't the best.

Everything Smart Parts makes is "crooked,'' in one way or another.

I agree. The sooner that company dies, the better for paintball.

I have a 2007 Powerlyte Scepter kit and am quite happy with it. Actually, I have two, one for each marker.

Yeah, I am not partial to SP products either but it was a good deal and I couldn't pass it up. Maybe I'll sell the front and back, and buy a deadlywinds barrel.....
