I always see people on here that make custom bodies, and rails, and cool other bits for mags. I was wondering, however, why no one does anything like drop-forwards? Ive been scouring the net looking for just the right one and i cant find it.

Seems like someone could make some money doing one, and they couldnt be THAT hard right?

I know your problem very well. Either its too long, not angled like you want it to, or it's not available in the color you need to match your gun. Also paying $34 for just a piece of aluminium seems a bit crazy to me.

exactly. either too long, too shallow (wont fit 68ci tanks) angle is all buggered etc etc.

I would however, pay $40 bucks for one thats exactly what i want. But i can just never find them.

Shocktech sells some of the best drops I've used. I don't think I'll use any other company now. They come in a pretty nice variety of lengths and are perfect for Flatlines.

I have 2 types I really Like:
Dye MicroDrop this one I like for shorter markers such mags and dms
CP makes a mid drop that I really like the angle is a little off but not bad, I used that one on Borgs and Egos as they are a little longer.

Definately not a big demand for them anymore but still , there are like a thousand different ones out there. Alot of them still being made. You'd have to be able to find what you need if you look hard enough. :)

To make small scale runs of a specifc small item like that A) You'd have to make a dozen to cover all the different 'needs' and/or in small numbers , they'd have to go for $50 a peice. No one will pay that anymore . . . if you would pay $50+ for a one off , then give me a shout and I'll make you one. ;)

To me, it is "The One" for a Flatline...although the factory bent aluminum bar stock D/F is simple and very effective.

screw-in's are in vogue now, thogh, and it seems they will continue to be. the big adjustable reg is "dead" :(

well, heres the thing. I have a Psycho Ballistics adjustable drop forward now and i really REALLY loved it on my classic. However, on the EMag it just doesnt feel......quite right. Im not 100% why, but its just not right. So, ive been scouring the internest for one that i will like better. Still, i havent found what im looking for quite yet. I like teh 2 pivot points on the P-B adj. drop, because it allows me to "kick" the tank up a few degrees so it sits where i want it to in my shoulder.

here you can see the angle when it was on my classic

I really liked the fact that i can kick the tank up a few degrees, and adjust (sorta) for balance.

Still, on the Emag, its just WAY to far forward. And because of the different weight and dimensions of the Emag, it just doesnt balance as well. Ive seen the "drop kick" that tehy make, but the angle is just far too extreme for my liking. In a perfect world i would have a smaller (2 inches or so forward) and tall enough to allow me to screw and unscrew my 68ci tank in. Angled just slightly (a few degrees) so the tank sits where i want it too. complete with an On/Off and fittings for both sides anno'd black with classy milling on it. I would buy it.

Actually, ive just had an idea. Instead of a whole drop forward, someone could just mill me a "dropkick" thats not near as extreme an angle. And allow me to put a drop forward of my choosing on it. Does anything im saying make a lick of sense? LOL. Im terrible at this.

A small piece like that cant be THAT expensive right? Maybe ill draw something up in paint to show what i mean.

I could mill one, but i live in europe so the shipping would cost more than it's worth. Maybe ask Luke if he can make one for you: http://www.lukescustoms.com/
