VERY RARE little sneek peek of some new work in process from Dan @ Triggernomics (AKA Maghog) . Gives a small idea of just how much hand work and finishing is involved in his projects.

Kind of reminds me of an Elephant. Cool

Looks a little sloppy now, but I can't wait to see it once it gets smoothed out some. Looks cool as always!

What kind of plating/ano can we expect to see on this? Or is that secret.

I wonder who's mag this is... George Jetson? Pretty cool, I really like the design on the warp plate. It's out there, looks more spacey to me...

that marker will scratch alot of lenses.

i can't say i much care for the trigger guard, but i love that trigger.

what is that...stuff on the bottom of the marker? is that for mounting a warp?

can we get a picture of it from directly behind?

You're all retarded.

That thing is beautiful. Once he shines that thing up, You'll all be drooling.

the only thing i wish he would've done, is a slug instead of a ULE.

that way he couldve gone crazy with the body, instead of having no meat to work with.

Keep going Dan, looks good.

I'm trying a little experiment with this gun, namely I want to see how fast I can get something like this done. The concept is to keep it simple, but still make it custom.
So, opinions of looks and such aside, how much would you guys pay for something like this?
Let's say in the end, I take 100-150 hours to get it this completely done, and you just got your 10,000 dollar christmas bonus a half a year late so money's not a problem. What is the highest price you would pay to have your gun customized.
I don't know what other custom shops charge, and I'm not competing with them. I have actually no intention of selling this gun either, I want to use it. :D
Call me curious.

Thanks to Jay for putting up the pictures, and thanks you guys for the comments.

I don't know about that marker as a whole, but I sure as hell would pay top dollar for that warp bracket. And I am dead serious. Or at least something with a lot of custom design and work to it.

I showed my friend this gun and he complete dissagreed with me about it looking like an Elephant, he pointed out to me that it exactly resembles a sort of tool for making or breaking ice. This gun should definitely come with that option.

It needs a wider trigger ;)

It will look much better once it's polished, but it looks like it's headed in the right direction :D

I believe it was stated in a previous post that Maghog does jewelcrafting or something like that? Is this marker functional or is it strictly show?

It looks as though that gripframe is one-piece with the panels and frame itself?

Blind Faith? Hrm, methinks you do not understand the true meaning behind the word beauty.

Beauty is shown in more ways than just looks. Beauty can be shown through effort, through time spent, through the inner workings. The time Dan took out of his life to make this is beautiful. That effort he poured into it.

When I see a painting or a sculpture, I don't look at the actual painting or sculpture, I look at the details to try and estimate the time and effort put into it. THAT'S how beauty should, ideally, be judged. Through precision and effort. But then again I'm an obsessive compulsive perfectionist...

Then there's also the fact that some people simply don't recognize true beauty. :P

(That's a joke.)

Well, I mean, I've been constipated lately so taking a poo takes a lot more time and effort (oh and don't get me started on the 'inner workings' of it :() than usual. While the poos may be beautiful to me, I doubt that you would consider them to be beautiful.
If you do, then perhaps you should go see a shrink.

My point? I know how much Dan puts in to his work. I just do not think that this is one of his better pieces. Even when it's polished up it'll be nothing compared to his other stuff. Hardly a representation of his true capacity. Dan is a great guy and I am not trying to attack him or his efforts. I just know for a fact that he can do better.

Now excuse me while I go eat some prunes.

I love the design of that classic rail, it looks like it could be used on any mag and look great! I am not sure on the entire marker and I just woke up, but I would say id pay in the $150 range for a rail like that.

The rest of the marker looks great also, if you decide to start taking on jobs, let me know. I might have a marker I could send your way.

Hmmmm,
personman, you have always given up your comments to my work, and I respect them. I take no offense that this is something that you dislike. By all means, let me know if you don't like something.

I'm always interested in hearing what you guys have to say, but let's not get heated up and start saying who's opinion is right or wrong when it's a mere matter of personal taste.

I can only add that I am personally elated with the direction that this one is headed in. I never intended to have that trigger guard look like that, but I love it. That foregrip portion really does it for me too, with the ideal location for comfortable handling. The warp feed mount is also something kind of happened by mistake, and wound up being (in my own humble opinion) a real eye catcher.
I don't know where the rest is headed, but I can't wait to finish it!
Later,
Dan
