Compressor question..

So, our field is running an airline down to our new 7man field.. It's going to be a good 150yards away from the house - I have a feeling we won't get a full 4500 fill down there (even though we do at the house) due to the distance.. Am I correct in assuming this?

It would depend on the type of line that you run. The more rigid and air tight the line the better pressure.

With air being a gas, the pressure is constant throughout.

You will have the same pressure, however flow rate will suffer and there may be noticeable drops during fills.

should be the same, but you will probably get the air fill equivalent of shootdown unless the compressor is running slightly high pressure than you all need ( like giving a mag more pressure than necessary to prevent shootdown)

but that would affect the 'local' airlines up at the house...

Pressure is constant if flow is constant (IE not flowing = constant pressure OR constant flow = constant pressure).

What I would be more worried about it running a good air line to survive 4500 psi.

That's no simple project there. Standard operating pressure of schedule 80 iron pipe (standard black iron thread together pipe) is going to be less than 1000 psi.

You're going to spend a literal TON of money to run pipe capable of carrying 4500 psi for that 400 ft.

The only pipe I've ever seen that will work at those pressures safely is extreme pressure stainless steel pipe, which is ~$25-$40 a linear foot. Fittings run $40-$60 or even upwards of $100 a piece depending on how big they are.

Please be safe with this, it's not a project you can bang out with materials bought from Home Depot.

the compressor has to serve two locations.

the normal air lines at the house but then they wanted to run a fill line to the airball fields which is a good 150yards away.

that way you have an extra if one goes down :p

Just don't use microline :)

A quick search online turned up 6000PSI WP pressure washer hose, $200 for 50 feet.

$1800 just for hose alone, not including fittings.

2nd compressor may be the way to go.
