That's about the best A5 I've ever seen.

It is nice, indeed. But I would argue that it is NOT as good as a Tippmann gets. There are many variations out there and many are fantastic.

Those things rock my face off.

Identity Crisis was camped next to us at the Wayne Dollack game at CPX in April. They were kind enough to break out the whole array of designs they had.

And they were 100% better than they look in the pictures.
Super nice guys too.

Just played with a group that gets together here in Colorado www.tunka.com and there were a lot of the Mil Sims out. I am either going to longbow one of my E lowers or pick one up. Very impressed with the way some of these things perform.

Is that TOTALLY Custom? Or are there kits you can buy?

Kit.

And a very nice one, I must say. It's inspired my current project.

EDIT: Woah, site says it doesn't sacrifice barrel length. How?

That thing's awesome, though. I bet you can win games just by taking that out in the staging area.

The way it does not sacrifice barrel length is that the trigger frame is moved up under the barrel. The rest of the marker is turned into the “stock” part of the marker and placed against your shoulder.

Yeah, looked at the picture again last night and finally figured it out. The cocking knob and hopper position tipped me off. That's one slick mod.

Yes, it is quite nice. But there are many like it out there.

I invite you to visit http://www.a5og.net/ and take a look around some time. There are lots of fantastic A5’s there.

This is mine…

Yup some of us commoners have to make do with store bought mods for our markers such as: UMS STICKER, Rail, Mag, JCS double trigger, & RVA. Unlike the ordaned ones with totaly custom markers out there:cry:

My plain uncustom MilSim collection
Click on the pic to enlarge it if you dare, but prepared to be disapointed.

Nice collection. You have a wide range of setups and options. I am sure you have a great time with them. :headbang:

I don’t get what you are saying though with the rest of it all. Are you saying that my marker is just store bought mods? The way you worded it makes it unclear.

ADDED: Also keep in mind that although my marker was made custom for me, I only have two markers. My A5 and my PPS Stroker. I don’t have a collection.

What I'm saying is all of my markers are set up the way that I like them proabably the way you set yours up. There are and will be someone with a nicer marker. By saying "there are many like it out there" is covering a lot of ground. Since ours are built around the A-5 platform are all the custom/plain A-5 all part of the many?

This is very true. I was just pointing out that a B5 A5 is nothing new because it seemed as if some folks may have thought that it was. That was also why I invited folks to visit the A5OG to see the wide range of A5’s out there. They are ALL good. And that was my point.

But yes, I have some off the shelf parts on my A5. However it is not a marker made with a kit. It was custom made to my specifications (and uses totally shop built parts), and just happens to use some off the shelf parts…. as is almost unavoidable. The A5OG has a thread about my marker which explains it (as well as one on The Underground Mod Shop http://www.undergroundmodshop.com/forums/vBulletin/ ). A search using the word “Mercker” will bring folks to various threads about the building of the marker.

I was not insulting your marker at all though. If you thought that, please accept my apology. I was just wanting to show folks the range of options from kits to custom built that are out there concerning the A5. It is a wonderful platform for modifications and milsim use.

Again, I welcome folks to come visit the A5OG and UMS forums. It is about promoting the A5, not insulting it or anyone who owns one. And by the way, I am the North East Commander for the A5OG Strike Force. Come on over and say hello and share your marker with other A5 owners.

Agreed the A-5 platform is great in a kit, custom made, or put together with anything or everything inbetween. A5OG dose have a lot of great markers to get ideas on to build your marker. My suggestion is build what you want the way you want it and you can't go wrong. Also your marker is awsome, the stock looks very mask friendly with the use of your optics... :headbang:

I also agree. And thank you. Yes, the stock is made specifically to go with the “rail/milsim” look of the marker and still be mask/sighting friendly. I was going to go with an adjustable MP5 stock, and it would have worked fine, but I really wanted to get both a tight setup as well as get my head/mask right behind the marker. Britt at UMS really came through with this one.

Nice chatting with you and I hope to see you on the A5OG.
