How many different sidearms/pistols are made?
Which ones are the top choice?
Which ones perform the best?
If you have a sidearm, could you post up some pics of them.
Any and all info would be appreciated. Links would be a plus to.
Thanks

For a pump pistol, my choice would be a PGP, but for semi I'd take a Sydarm any day.

Nothing performs any where CLOSE to the tac8. I've used every pistol out there and the Tac8 is the best by yottaleaps and zettabounds.

If I had to choose between owning one tac8 and 12 of any other pistol, I'd take the tac8. It's that good. (well, actually I'd take the 12 to use as loaners to get more pistol players on the speedball fields....but that doesn't count!)

only problem with the RAP stuff is that it's not in .68

My friend has a tac 8 and he loves it except for a few things about it.
1. The magazines are expensive
2. You need a tool to change the co2.

So I guess, make sure if you get a tac 8 that you have enough money to get a few extra mags. I think the co2 is good for 20-30 shots, so if you have tubes you can refill the mags on the field.

I would love a Sydarm. No clue where to find one though.
The Tac8 is very nice to.
If I cant find a Sydarm, I will more than likely get a Tac8.
I like the Desert Eagle, I wish I could get the real deal 50 cal Desert Eagle.

What about a 32 Degrees Delta .68 or the Warsensor Zeus G2 Titanium?

You can't go wrong with an Automag.

wow, they look great.
where did you get the short barrels?
Is that a sydarm? Can I have it, pleeease.
Thats what I would like to do to my Mag.

Do they make Sydarms anymore?

Pneumagger - I'm a big fan of the SIG .357 myself.

Tac-8 is extremely cool, hot swapping mags on the fly is where the cool factor is at its best. Used one for last years Battle of Normandy @ Jim Thorpe PA.

The tac8 isn't only just cooler, it's more everything. It's more durable, more consistent, more efficient, faster, smaller over all, smoother, and feels significantly better to me and everyone that commented on the two I had. The trigger pull is perfect, too... There's just nothing that compares, but don't take my word for it. Test one for yourself. A Sydarm isn't a mag...trust me on that one. It's a minature mag valve that doesn't work nearly as well for the purpose...

Thanks for the info guys.
For a pistol, I'm leaning towards a Tac-8. It seems to be the choice sidearm.
I think I'm going to convert my Mag similar to automikey top marker. Looks pretty sweet, plus with a barrel swap I'm not limited.

Now go find yourself a Squall.

This more than likely going to sound stupid.
What is a squall?
Sorry, been out of paintball for quite some time.

Thanks

Unfourtunately its also more expensive.

For $250.00 i could build another mag. I know im just looking for something cheap to run around with while playing with new players.
Example, i ran out of paint before the last game this weekend. We were playing with new players mixed in with some "every once in awhile" guys. I still wanted to play and help the team so i played without a gun. I called out enemies, coached some new players, ran around as a distraction, and eventually hung the flag. I had a blast. Still, i would loved to have had a pistol as a "just in case". Lucky for me the only guy defending the base was a runner from the other side, and wasnt using a gun either. ;)

Any opinions o the Araikon ACP?

The Squall is a semi-auto pistol that PPS makes based on the Typhoon platform. Here (http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/ecom/product_info.php/cPath/26/products_id/47)'s one for sale, and here (http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/paintguns/pps/squall/index.shtml)'s a review Warpig did. Thank you, Google. :D

Squalls are sweet but not even remotly worth the cost for the average paintball player. If your a collector or want a WOW factor then go for a squall.

As someoen else said a sydarm really isnt that great. They are nice but pricey and somewhat of a pain.

Tac8 is where its at. I cant think of any other pistol that can compare.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.
That squall is nice and very expnsive.
As of now, I'm leaning towards the Tac 8.
Just like chaos said "Tac8 is where its at"

i have a tac 9 and i dont like it to much and i looking at getting a sydarm, mags on a t8/t9 just suck for trying to change the 12 gram if you dont do it just right you lose all your co2 and haveing to use a tool to change it is a pain as well

here is a link to my t9 i trying to get rid of
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2254710

not sure whats better between the t8 or t9

PBC,
How did you like the performance of the T9? I'm looking to get into a woodsball club and was considering a T9.
I have heard mixed messages about changing the mags and co2.

PBChappy

shoots good, light trigger, easy to clean, build up to rifle and break down to pistol as easy as can be

just not my thing i live and breath mags so i going to have to get a sydarm to be my pistol

WWA is working on a quick change fix for the c02 cartriges on the tiberius clips.

Tig

I found a shop that is in the process of building a woodsball field, I think I'm going to give it a try, sounds like the T9 would be a great gun for it. Along with a T8, sounds like a pretty decent set-up. I guess its all personal prefference.

With a quick change clip release, that would be key.

Rap4 has a Desert Eagle coming out in September if you can wait that long.

Hope it doesn't say "Replica" on the side.

Most of the RAP stuff is in .43

really small balls, sort of the middle ground between airsoft and paintball, although more like higher end airsoft.

im suprised .43 hasnt caught on better for scenario and milsim play. Seems like it would be better.

they don't break reliably. You need to have a real good, honest group of players if you're playing with .43 and reffing is pointless.

The "Best" pistol will vary from player to player, and based on the price range that you can spend. It will also vary by playing style and personal taste.

Personally, I tend to rotate what pistol(s) I carry. :shooting:

I own a T9, and while its very well built, I've had trouble with breaks in mine. I dont know what, maybe short stroking, but either with the hopper setup or with the mag, i'll be firing at a steady rate and surrenly, pop. I love the gun and its a very nice pistol, so I really dont want to get rid of it. At one point i almost sold it just to buy the T8 because i like having it as a pistol, but unless you are playing with people who are all using stock class or pistols, there no point using the rifle unless you have the hopper/remote setup.

But yes, so far ive tested many pistols and owned a few in the past, and i like the tiberius most of all.
