It's here! And a day early!

My SFL came today and all I can say is "Drool". So much weight is milled away it's amazing. Compared to my old E-mag this thing is like a feather. Plus it's just looks good. The boomstick is actually a silver to pewter fade. One of the coolest things about it is that the dovetail mount for the battery only goes about halfway down so I can actually get my battery off without taking off my drop.
If I had a gripe it's that it does'nt come with any sort of straight feed elbow. $1450 for a gun and they can't spring for an elbow? And the angel elbow I have is too small. I'll get over it.

I dont mean to rain on anybodys parade, but what is really the point of the SFL, granted it looks way cooler, but that wont get a guy out in a tourne for you. Lets think, Its lighter, cool thats nice, but there is a thing called muscles that do tend to grow when you work or play frequently. Milling, makes it looks cooler, that wont help, but it does make it lighter, and we already covered it. However, it does make you a smaller target, but really how often are paintballs going to fly an tenth of an inch away from a milled down part, when if it was a regular emag it would hit it. Being tight perdy much makes up for that anyways. Well these are just some of my thoughts, so sorry if your parade got canceled becuase of a storm. O and I got the grips saturday, and I am going try then out next week.

Having a light easily manouvreable set up is an advantage. Every pro I talk to wants the lightest gun. It makes it easier to run with, it makes it easier to swing and it makes it easier to bring onto target quickly for snap shooting. The only downside to being lighter is greater perceived recoil. Other than that using a light gun does feel easier. After a long days or weekends play you do get fatigued more with a heavy marker, and at that point it is an advantage to have a lighter gun.

Other advantages with the SFL is that you will be able to have it with an ACE. This will stop the gun firing when it isn't fully loaded so you can't chop a half loaded paintball. That's a big advantage.

With the SFL you will also be able to use a vert or warp feed quickly and easily as the mood takes you just by changing modules.

There are also other advantages to the SFL and all extremes but I can't tell you about those yet... I'm sure AGD and AGDE will release details when they are ready.

Looks are subjective but having nice kit does make you feel good and more confident in yourself so that's also an advantage. Mental advantages do count :)

The lighter the gun the easier to manuver and aim marc. It will help with snap shooting a lot. It also puts less load on the arm so you can aim better. What do you think is easier to aim and fire with? An mp5 or an m60? (I know that those 2 guns are near extremes for that but it is a good representation)

Also, manike nailed the other advantages of the sfl and extreme on the head but.... The lighter guns don't always have higher precieved kick. If the moving parts are minimal and are lighter the force would be minimal. It's just like have a completely milled down back block, delrin bolt, and light ram; the force would be minimized and the aiming would be improved.

You are right, that I do sound very gelous, but Im not, I luv my emag just the way it is untill i can get my hands on the extreme upgrades, if and when they come out. I do see what you are saying with the weight issue and it is a very big weight difference between the sfl and a regulare stock emag. I also agree with you on the tiredness part to a point. When I let people use my gun they have a very had time with it, and I was the very same way when I fist got it, but now almost a year later, I can play several games in succession one handed (but swiching hands every game). I also have not been tired after playing 4 days in a row for about 4 hours of playing time each day, and I am not a back player (not that there is anything wrong with being one). And for running and such I fell no difference as I use it weight to and advantage swinging it, and when diving. For the mentality part, you could swing it both ways if you wanted to: it makes me feel better, but makes they try hard because they think you will be harder to beat ( or be scared of you). Or you could say: I dont care what I look like I care how I play, and the other team doesnt play as hard because they think you wont be good. However this could go on forever countering eachother, and once again what I have said is just my thoughs, no matter how stupid they may be. O the reason Im getting the extreme is because of the side feed (as i do own a warped but have yet to use it offten because my R2k doesnt get along with it, ill have to buy a revy, halo, or just a 2.50 vl200), and the ACE. O one last thing, I dont think either of us are right or wrong, I think loader was right, and that its up to the person who uses it and no one else.
P.S. footemps I dont know anything about real guns, but I get your point, and for less of a load on your arm, it does and everything, but I put my tank on my lower shoulder. Anyways I could go on for a while as i know you can, but am I right in saying that it is how the player uses the gun.
