I missed my AR 15 too much.

So I tried the Airsoft thing... It was cool and all but it wasn’t my cup of tea. The only thing was my Airsoft rifle was almost an EXACT copy aesthetically of an Armalite, it was even licensed and made with REAL parts. It felt and looked real... until you pulled the trigger.

This is a pic of my classic army airsoft rifle.

Well after I hit my brick wall with the paintball/airsoft thing, I quit airsoft, and dropped just about everything to do with paintball... and I got rid of my Armalite. I kinda felt bad about it. I missed it. I mostly missed just having it sitting there next to my other guns. So what do I do?

I work my butt off all summer and get a REAL AR-15.

(I do have a 30rd mag... but I just like the 20's better. Also I blurred the SN# but its really LOW because they just reorganized their companies and are going under the JPS label)

I have been doing all sorts of research on them trying to find one that I liked... but it wasn’t until I found this company "American Sprit Arms" who had an ad in a CNC Machine magazine I get at work.

I called them and talked to one of the owners/machinist (very cool). He was very helpful and figured out what I was trying to do so I got a quote from him and I was set. He even offered to stay a little later after they closed today to give me time to get there after work to check things out!

So I walk into the place today, and there it is. Just from talking to him briefly the day before, my rifle set up, not 15 ft away from the machine shop where it was made...sitting right on the counter.

I walked up to the counter, shook his hand and said sold.

Over the next half hour he went through and told me everything I would ever want to know about this gun, how to clean it, strip it, ammo selection, parts, using it... the whole 9 yards.

He went above and beyond.

It’s machined beautifully. All in house right there in the shop.

I just got my AR-15 paid for. Used DPMS Panther Arms with heavy .223 barrel, 6-10x scope and bipod. Like new condition with the acessories for less than $700. I bought it from the same shop I got my supressor, so when I go pick up the supressor after the paperwork clears in a month, I'll have my rifle waiting too. All I need to add to mine is a blackout supressor for a supressor to attach to - maybe a smooth freefloating handguard as well.

So Tim, I should paint the tip orange huh?! :rofl:
