I need a electric valve/ solenoid. I'm not good with electronics (as witnessed by my deleting what i'd previously written by going 'back' somehow.)

What I need:
- similar flowrate to msv-2 (6scfm @80-100psi)
- will work with a 9-volt battery in a regular battery-switch-solenoid circuit (no board or anything fancy yet)
- reasonably cheap? ~$50 or less?
- normally closed

I don't really want to have to deal with rerouting air and blocking holes like the Ion board. Just want two wires and some air holes

I saw:
http://www.airsoldier.com:8080/cgi-bin/mivavm?Merchant2/merchant.mvc+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AOS&Product_Code=SMC-S070C-SDG-32&Category_Code=SOLENOIDS

Will that 5vdc solenoid work with a 9-volt or will that burn it out? Could I use four 1.5v AAs or would the 6v burn it out?

Help?

It's only rated at 72psi, I don't know if I'd be comfortable using a noid rated under 100psi.

You would need a control board like this: http://scenariodreams.com/productpages/universaltboard.htm to send the signal to the noid.
