So my niece(who is 5 1/2 months old) sems to have an interest in the histroy and discovery channle. More specificly "modarn marvals", "Mythbusters", and "how it's made". But almost no interest in anything else(childrens shows genorate the occasional giggle).

Is this normal, Or is my niece just wierd?

Wow... I didn't get interested in those shows until I was in my twenties. Maybe she's just really mature.

Or... she's just weird. ;)

Dunno, I had the scimilar fascinations when I was a kid. Loved the discovery channel and watching "The Next Step". Love them buckey balls!

Any child will be fascinated with finding out how things work and how its made. Maybe your niece will take a liking to a scientific or technical trade in the future.

While they didnt have Discovery or History channels when I was a child, we had PBS. And I watched that mostly. Nova, Animal Kingdom, Dr. Who  , and of course Sesame St.

International History Channel > Regular History Channel

Eh sometimes HistoryI is better. But when all that's on History is some MM episode about a bridge and all that's on HistoryI is a biography about King Tut, I'll go to the Military channel, woot!

She's just curious. As long its not like "Shootout" or shows like it from those two. The History channel can be the most violent channel on TV but can get away with it because its historical.

Exactly, so why are we trying to PG everything? People used to kill their own food...

New devolpment, she is a pyromanic in training Yesterday she was watching mardarn marvals: Fire, every time a clip of fire would show she would go haywire and start making all kinds of noises.

Also she seeems to like the movie "Band of brothers", I have an awsome niece :headbang:

It's the bright and shiny objects. In two years those channels will be 'the yucky'!
