Looks like a winner. Now if only they would make that trigger guard a little nicer.

Dont know why but when I hear Timmy I always think of the theme song from "Lassie".

Milling looks aweful

That is one... uggggly gun. Or would it just be a dull milling job. (Actually my first thought was: That looks like crap!)

It looks and shoots exactly like a paintball gun.

Yeah the gun looks like something bought from Walmart....(except the milling on the back looks decent)

I actually like the looks of it, but for the price and preformance of this marker even if it was just an unmilled block it would be cool.

Over 2000 shots on a 68/4500 isn't something many markers can claim.

Now, the Vice which is the other '08 intimidator is 3D milled and I've heard it looks awsome and is supposedly going to be the lightest marker on the market.

Why so ugly? Life is too short to play with ugly markers :p IMO the only good looking markers to come from BLT is the Marq series. As a matter of fact, I think the Closer's are overdone.

I love my Marq's performance, but I actually like the looks of the Intimidators better.

Does this remind anyone else of the spyder vs2 for some reason? Dont know why but that was my first thought of the black one...

Could it be that is because Timmies are Sheep (spyders) in wolf's (Timmy) clothing ? :ninja:

isn't the protege the base model and it's supposed to be super cheap? if you look, the LPR is generic and there is no adjustable ram cap.

Yes, it is. The Vice is the high end model from what I've heard its super nice.

Piranti yes, they are and Autocockers shoot farther too. How is a Timmy a Spyder? Other than semi similar shape they aren't similar in any way. How do people get that they're Spyders? Anyone?

I think mostly this idea comes from the notion that the original Timmy evolved from BL's production of his Millenium gun (which was a fancy Spyder). It might also come from the language found in many of the early Timmy manuals which said something to the effect of...

"The Intimidator is an open-bolt design, very similar to the popular open-bolt blowback design found in the Spyder. The primary difference is that instead of blowback re-cocking a spring loaded striker, the bolt is locked in a dual pressurized machined slider."

IIRC Bob has said that the Timmy evolved from his experiments with "electronifying" excess Millenium inventory. The result was the Defiant/Bushy and later the Timmy.

Anybody can claim it but whether or not it can happen is another story, same goes for this gun. As of now im not all that impressed. Its just another paintball gun that does the same thing as nearly everythign else out right now. No doubt its a nice gun but its nothing special in my eyes.

I'd like to test shoot one first.

I think the big selling point on this one is the price, it performs like all the $1000+ markers but costs about half that much.

Same here, but I've never been disapointed with Bob Long before.

There are A LOT of guns that already do that imo.

Not really, theres alot that claim to but if you actually use both theres usually quite a difference.
