Anybody play bass?!

So, I've wanted to learn to play for the last twelve years or so and am looking to pick up something off of Ebay.

Does anybody have any good on-line resources for learning? Anything I should be aware of before I buy? I've been a Claypool fan for half my life and was thinking about starting with a six-string, but not fretless because I have no clue where to put my fingers or play yet! :rofl:

Any input/suggestions/warnings?!

Im a bass player from wayyyyyy back , Ibanez has a bass that i bought its about $200.00 it has whats called an active eq. which lets u change the sound infinatly

and is a good beginner or for playing in clubs, hit me up and i,ll help all i can
