Hi

Im so tired of my a5 breaking paint in barrel and cyclone and the fact that i always need hardshelled paint to have a nice game.
So ive been looking on mags for a couple of years, but never taken the step.

Im not going back to supairball and have only played biggames/scenarios last 4 years, tac one looks good for that

I want it to be fast and gentle on paint and they seem to be that way from what i have read.

I have a 88/4500 bottle with the newest maxflow before the microflow came out, will use that for feeding it high psi for the reactiveness i want. how much can i shoot on that? doing 1500 on my a5 now with lpk.
Only been to games were f/a is allowed :headbang: so i need the speed.

in high bps is lvlX still gentle with paint? and how high can i go to be on the safe side?
What hopper should i use? dont want qloader i shoot way to much paint for that.

it does not seem to hard to adjust and keep in the game?, im used to electros, tippmanns, tiberius been fiddling with markers since -97.

if i buy a tac one what would you think i should get with it? any sparepart orings? dont think i want ult because i want it to bounce crazy.

I really like the palmer barrels i shoot now specially the 14" double ported would something like that be a good barrel on my mag to be? of course with right threads.

how does it performs in the wintertime? or a moisty/cold autumnday?

probably have more q´s to come.

Probaly a new magowner in Sweden soon.

Check out Zmans videos of him rapid shooting.

Check out AGD's videos of how soft a level 10 is on your paint/ tom's tounge/ a dollar bill.

You can still rapid fire with a ult. All you have to do is add extra shims (you will need to purchase extra shims with your marker IIRC they are ~ 3-4 USD). Your trigger pull will also be crazy light. I would highly suggest getting one if you are staying mech.

Mags are the fastest markers currently produced that have been proven. And best of all they can be this fast purly mech.

A mag with HPA will preform the same in the winter as in the summer.

As for a hopper get the fastest one you can. over half of breech/barrel breaks are because of a slow hopper. I personally use a warp, and it seems to keep up with my xmag.

As for barrels I have found that TI Paintball makes the best barrel on the market currently.

the mag is a different animal on its own, but if you get a Tac-one thats already broken in you should be set. to get the bounce on the trigger you need to set the pressure to 900+ to get the bounce. as for needing speed why fling 40 balls when one good shot is all you need :D

you will notice a big difference between an A5 to an X-valved mag, its way more consistant. as far as barrels go, whatever suits your style of play will work fine just make sure your paint to bore match is good, then go mow sucka's :ninja:

as far as performance it works fine in any weather, grab a rebuild kit in the case that you may need to rebuild it one day. Also make sure you get a complete LVL10 kit so you can fine tune it. doest matter how fast you shoot it the lvl10 will be the same, it will lightly pinch the ball if its not seated correctly, but i have yet to see it chop one. dont mistake a chop for a barrel break though, those still happen now and again. soup of the day though shouldnt be caused by the bolt. total shots though im not sure on, ive shot a lot of shots on one of those but never counted. good luck and get a mag

well one shot does not scare that many, maybe the one i shot and his friend next to him :) i need speed when i want to scare many players so my team can flank and do all that stuff they do when we shoot a lot of paint.

will buy it new want to break it in my self

trigger bounce will feel different than tippmann RT. i suggest you try one out beforehand (make sure you use your adjustable tank) if you can. even if it's not a Tac-1 (the difference between a Tac and ULE-mag is really just cosmetic).

then again, resale on mags are still up there, so you wouldn't lose much if you ended up getting selling it.

if you're not too worried about weight, you might want to consider buying a used mag with the RT style valve and Lvl-10 (Zak Vetter explains differences here (http://www.zakvetter.com/pages/paintballs/automag_info/agd_valves.html)), then mod that as you see fit (Tac-1 body, different grip frame, etc...). that might end up being cheaper in the end. check out AGD's pricing for those extras, though, first

i'm pretty sure that even an old classic mag is lighter than an A5...

mag smith (http://www.themagsmith.com/store/index.php)

ULT will give a a really light trigger pull as opposed the the tight reactive trigger.

I would think about the new gforce frame coming out too.

I came from the A5 workd as well and getting rid of the a5 was the best thing I've ever done.

The mag will use more air, I can get around 1000 rounds out of a 90 4500 before it drops low enought to just start single balling. (I have an emag) BUT.. tha mag is so much more accurate than the A5, you will wind up using far less paint.

For grins you can get a cocker threaded apex, I have one and use it once in a while.

I live in Canada and I have played with my mag in -15*C with no problems, except the barrel icing up a bit. I was even in a winter tourney, and my mag as well as my friends were the only tow markers out there with basically no problems, and not breaking paint. On rainy days I like to cover up the porting on my barrel, and with my powerfeed I tape up the hole so rain doesn't get in. Works great! :headbang:

i'm an x tippman owner , if you buy a Mag you'll never go back , i've converted 4 others since I started with mine , 2 were tippman owners the other 2 were electro owners
they are crazy dependable , you will use less paint OR just use the same amount & get many more kills , It seems Mags hit what there aiming at

Coming on this site and asking about mags, all you will get is how great they are. (Well they are!) Phizz is right, I live in Washington State and play in the cold and rain all the time. Never had a ball break with the level 10. Mags are the most dependable and a really nice shot. I have also converted 4 of my brothers and friends. As for what you want. Get what you think looks good. Everything shoots the same. The ULT does help with how fast you can pull the trigger. Trust us when we say you wont be sorry.

You'll never regret moving form a Tippmann to a Mag. I did the ultimate leap, from a Tippmann A5 all the way to a ULE'd E-Mag. Hybrid mode ftw! Wouldn't go back ever :headbang:

I play 1-2 x a month. When I do play, I usually shoot about 1.5 cases in 4 hours. Why? Because I can and it's fun. I don't get out much so I play heavy gunner when I do lol. :shooting:

i am not from the ordinary when it comes to owning markers. I owend a viper M1 for the past 7 years and loved every second of it. I custom built my mag into an M14 body and added a lvl ten and have not chopped a ball since. No matter which mag you go with mags are quality. And if you want real speed and have some cash, get the pneumag mod done, youll keep up with the electros with pure pneumatics.
