From what I've used:
powerlyte scepter (although I have the older style)

If you already have the inserts from the other system, you could always look at one of the Deadlywind barrels

I got a J&J Edge lately.. I love it.. nice kit, and I much prefer the back/front combo over inserts (being a freak convert myself)

Have you considered the Redz Pepperstickz kit? I have one and it is a great barrel system. It uses backs and they are 8 inches long so you get improved efficiency. Comes with both 14 and 16 inch tips and a fuzzy stick. In my opinion it shoots better than a UL and cleans even better.

I use a sly kit, its expensive up front but well worth it IMO. As long as your the original owner they will replace it if anything goes wrong. They really do clean themselves out within three shots.

I was going to purchase a fibur null barrel, I love the looks etc.. but I realized I cant because then I would have to purchase SP freak inserts and well.. I WILL NOT support SP :(

I use a WGP Kaner. Came with 4 backs and 3 fronts and it only cost me $100. But that was when they were getting rid of the V1s. The V2 Kaners are like 170. Great barrel though.

My top picks
1 TI longbow
2 2000 scepter (not 2004 or 2007)
3 pps brass (its a good one bore barrel)
4 ss freak inserts for all of my twistlock bodies & barrels.

Personally I love my Sanchez Machine kits. But my Scepter kit was great too.

Believe it or not, a JT 2 piece barrel kit is a good buy. It's pretty much a dye copy, and a bit harder to find nowadays. I know JT hasn't made the best name for themself since they went to cheaper marker stuff, but these barrels are pretty good. Like i said, harder to find though.

I think the Fibur Null doesn't take inserts, the Fibur does. I could be wrong, though.

Correct. to quote the description:

"The Fibur Null is a one-piece barrel and is currently available with a 0.691" effective bore followed with a smooth transition to a 0.693" tip, giving great efficiency and noise reduction."

That's one of the two kits I'm looking at right now. The Sly and the Stiffi. They're both pretty similar, but the Sly kit seems to have a lot of frivolous art and graphics on it, whereas the Stiffi is simple and sweet, which is why I like that a little bit more. But I've heard nothing but good reviews on the Sly kit. Wish I could test them out...
