RPG Strangler - I don't believe he makes them anymore.

IMHO, those style feednecks are very convenient but can't be fastened tight enough to ensure your hopper doesn't spin around.

Extreme Rage also made a feed neck like that. I had one for a while.

oh.. RPG? no wonder i couldn't find it on actionvillage and stuff :tard:

because you had to twist it to tighten the hopper, id thought it would be nice to have that kind of feature. was using the RPG sub-zero feedneck, and its nice and all, but it seems like it's stripping the thread of the collar because of tightening it too much; it wont hold my revvy unless i tighten it a lot! so i switched to a stock ULE feedneck because it holds my revvy nice and tight.

I'll sell you my feedneck, heck for 620, I'll throw in that body/rail combo.

Ye they don't hold the hopper tight enough...you are better off w/ the cam lock type..or lever whatever

Forgot to add...

Some believe its a benefit that the hopper doesnt tighten too tight. If you take a dive, and the hopper doesnt give, it snaps the neck. Of course, those style necks date back to ~2002.

The one big disadvantage of that style of neck is that it cannot fit all sizes of hoppers. HALOS needed sanding. Revvys didnt. It was just not possible to make a strangler that accomodated all hoppers. Which is why it was replaced with a clamper. No sanding required.

There are plenty used ones out there. Look around, you can find them pretty easy. Youll have to look hard to find them new, most manufacturers moved on from that design since its design is inferior to what is currently available.

ah, no wonder i see it on old automag guns. i'll keep on the lookout for it, but i may just stick with the sub-zero i guess. as long as its RPG, i know its cool :D thanks!

Put a little electrical tape around your hopper feedneck. That should tighten it up.

hockey tape grips better...that's what I use, but electrical tape works fine too

function makes a twist type. i have one on my dark g7 fly and it holds my halo and my revy just fine.

i have the same design of a feedneck on my sniper 2 and it doesnt hold tight enough to m liking. i have a CCM no rise clamping neck on my mag and after i locktited it in the hopper will spin if it get slamed as to not crack the neck but it wont twist in normal play even with sliding and jumping over stuff

just my 2 cents

I use an egg. from new, it didn't hold to well....

Fix: Pinch each section together with your thumb and fore-finger towards the center. Then it holds the egg's great! I've never had any trouble after that.

There would be some give if jar'd heavily as RogueFactor mentioned earlier. So no snapping of the feed necks.

Another point, these are better than strictly friction fitting feednecks. (ie no clamps of any sort) And they look sweet too!

Deadlywind made that neck feed when sold with the Karta/Dallara body. It was called the Roughneck. It fits my Halo B proper tight!
