I'm not sure the gforce frame should qualify as Pneumag... sure, it's pneumatic powered but it's not homemade.
That's the true spirit of pneumags.

"If it pleases and sparkles, I would like to motion that "Pneumag" shall refer to pneumatic conversions of mags only, and not purchased frame kits by a company. Pneumag shall henceforth be a portmanteau (http://www.wikiality.com/Portmanteau) indicating such a marriage of pneumatics and automags, respectfully."

I completely disagree with you.

But if you insist on isolating this frame because it was purchased then no pneumag frame purchased should be included in this thread. Which would include any frame made by you that is no longer in your posession/ownership. This would also mean most of the guns already pictured would have to be removed. Boy this thread is going to be boring.

I have to agree with Pneumagger. The homemade Pneumag frames are all unique. All the gforce frames are identical. Nothing special there.

I'm saying pneumag should describe a homemade or home modified pneumatic automag - a sub class of pneumatic powered automags.
The Gforce frame, like the hAir and the PTP Air Assist, are production frames and the end has a commercial marker. These too would also be pneumatic powered automags... but not "pneumags".

Pneumag = not commercially made pneumatic automag.

(I am not a commercial entity or distributer. Each frame I have done is a little different and "factory" by any standard.)
;)

Edit: You can have the name Gmag... rolls off the tongue nicely. :p

I have to disagree that a G-framed mag is not a pneumag ... it definitely fits the description of its internal working and is in most cases identical in function to homebrew options. And smoothice has a huge point about paid-for conversions ... everything sent to you will look basically identical (of the same frame type and setup). And since you put out that video, most pneumags internally don't look a heck of a lot different than others -- the biggest difference is LPR arangement, and G-force frames also have LPR mouting options.

Not to stir the pot but that is rediculous. 95% of your "homemade" pneumag frames are intelliframes. Which are all identical aren't they?

I really like the "G-mag" suggestion that pneumagger made. If I were to buy a G-force frame, I would call it a G-mag instead of a pneumag.

However, I also understand smoothice's point. Technically, no matter if they're made in the basement or in the factory, all mags with a pneumatic trigger are essentially the same. If someone buys a paintball gun from Palmer's, it's still called a paintball gun even though each one is slightly unique and not factory made.

Anyone with a pneumag should be proud that they have a gun that's electro-fast without batteries. I love telling people I have a pneumag, and they ask, "What the heck is that?" The name itself produces lots of questions and interest. Therefore, I don't think there should be a division/distinction between DIYs and factory made frames. The mag niche is small enough, and the pneumag niche is even smaller. I don't think we need any sub-categories.

No really, Look at the pictures, they are made from all sorts of frames: Logic verts and UMF's, RPG Chimeras, Intelli's, and even a few from Z-Grips. I have seen way more Vert Pneuframes, than Intelliframes.

Garf- I was just kidding with that. If you read the whole thread you will see that people questioned whether or not your frames belong in this thread because they are a production frame.

I was defending your frame saying it is just as much a pneumag frame as any of the home built ones.

I then said I was going to assume (for the sake of this thread and this thread only) that these frames were made in your basement so that I could post it in this thread.

I think it's time this old thread is bumped up... :headbang:

But I also have an ulterior motive. Does anyone have pics of a sleeper intelliframed pneumag? I know it's been done a handful of times, but there are only a few pics out there.
I have another solution too

I built another one for rudz.......

here was what I came up with for him....

http://img2.putfile.com/main/2/5023464670.jpg

You should be more familiar with this method.......I used a CP reg....they adjust from 0 to 600 psi.

It was used last weekend at the Nor*Cal vs SoCal event without any issues.

Here is my Z-bodied Pneumag. Not nearly as fancy as the other ones on here, but it works. Something I have been thinking about... is it possible to make a "hybrid" pneumag, that would work in a way similar to the hybrid mode on an E-Mag? Somehow keeping the trigger rod and wedging the piston in there? You would still trigger the shot using the pneumatics, but the trigger rod/RT effect would push the trigger back to cut down on short stroking.

Thanks, I thought they were going to look pretty good (thanks Stayhuge)... just had a good wipe down with some Armor All to really shine them up. They're not quite as wide as the IR3's, but still comfy.

hey can you take some pictures of how you modded that bob long asa for us all?
i would love to use one of those in the future
that is one sexy pneumag
i wouldnt mind having that marker set up
when i originally started my project i wanted an airwalk frame, but the cost of anno and the mod was more than i had to work with, so i waited for the M-90 to come out

The drilling isn't too bad to do. Center and drill down, leaving about 1/16" from the inner wall.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/stevecos/SDC11078.jpg

From the asa side, drill in until both holes meet.

The others stack up quit well. I use Emag on/off's on everything.

The Airwalk is a pre-cyber setup (parts came from all over). I screwed with it until I liked it, hence all the holes. No magnets. Short and crisp pull.
The M-90 Has a full set of magnets and is easily adjustable to taste.
The Cheater is not adjustable, kind of a spongy but crisp pull. I like it.

Kwood: I sandwitched an oring between the asa and a spacer.

Had some fun putting this one together. It is made from spare (not currently in use) parts and an M90 that reciently arrived on my doorstep.

Decided to use a Microrock and a short levered Fabco from a botched build. With one magnet above the trigger, the pull is very nice.

Still using E-Mag on/off's.
