i have a classic valve and an unknown regulator. i can shoot slow for a little while, but if i want to shoot faster it "freezes" up. it won't return the sear so it leaks the whole time. any help on this? thanks
you dont need the reg. get a good expansion chamber, and it will help.

What kind of bolt and on/off do you have?
Shooting CO2?
Frame screws snug?
If it leaks without the sear returning, your on/off must be having trouble at least.

Like MANN said, you don't need a reg. A good expansion chamber will fix that problem.

no i don't
get one, or use a vert asa, or get HPA.

If you're using a bottle on that ASA, you're pouring liquid into your vert reg. There's not enough volume or surface area there to let you rapid fire. A big vert expansion chamber on there would be like a vert bottle, so that might make it.

Hey - save your money and don't make the expansion chamber purchase. I suggest getting a HP system, look on the for sale forums here, you'll find a good deal on one. AND the freeze up and cold weather operation problems will be history.
and like MANN said....lose that reg.

Or you can buy one of these http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=131&categoryID=16 it will put the bottle on a angle and keep the liquid CO2 out of the gun better than your current set up ... if your not opposed to running a Tstock and remote that is also and decent solution for keeping liquid CO2 out of the gun

Or you can buy my expansion chamber ;) This is the exact one here (http://www.paintballgodz.com/product/PB-DOP-XCORE)
PM me if interested.
I had the same problem as you. I bought an expansion chamber. Then put an anti siphon tube in. It actually worked really well. Then I decided to do a pneumag mod and had to get hp anyways.
