Hello all,

Ive been looking for some pball knee pads for quite some time now.
I went to target today and thought id check the sports section,I see some cheap razor brand knee/elbow pad multi sport combo pack.I take knees out and try them on and to my surprise they were REALLY comfortable, could run almost as good as without them on.Excellent padding and felt as if they would not slide off when I take a dive

Well my question really is, what kind of knee pads do you all wear when tearin it up?

Any more I wear my old hockey shinguards....Because I am growing tired of having twigs/pegs/stumps end up under my knee cap.

Hmm.. I used rollerblade style for the longest time, but they tend to wiggle/slide down too easily, so I"m going to look into a nicer set, one of the "Sculpted" ones.. I'm also curious what people recommend.

This is going to sound really, really lame. :)

I swear by softball pads. They go from the top of the knee to mid-shin, have about an inch of padding, and good straps to keep them from moving around on you.

I've been using proto pads for a couple of years, I like them a lot. lots of padding, stay in place well, flexibility is good.

I was using a set of Redz knee pads, but they always slid down. Found an old pair of Roller Blade pads, and they ROCK!!! wear those with long shorts= great mobility+ cooler than pants. If you look in the AO SoCal meet picks, I'm in there with thus setup.

I have a pair of the JT. They are set up so the knee portion moves up and down from the shin portion and thus no problem with the things sliding down during play.

Just a pair of my old Cooper volleyball kneepads $8 new, but work great.

I spent the dough and went with a pair of Dye's kneepads. I like them a lot. They do have a break-in period, though, so they won't be that comfortable or flexible at first.

For years I used sport knee braces under my BDU's. The kind you get at the pharmacy. They worked awesome and the price is right. They have a padding not unlike older mouse pads. These days though I wear Empire pants with kevlar knees mostly because I got sick of my shins getting killed. They're a little expensive but worth it.

i was using the softball pads there for a while until i really got to playing this year hard. they would creep up on my legs so i went to the extreme and brought some catcher's shin guards. as bad as they seem bulky they really aren't. played for 5 hours without a problem. i play a lot of woodsball with thorny vine to deal with. well not anymore.

Do you have a brand/model or pics that I can look for? I really haven't tried anything yet because I don't want them to affect my running.

I've occasionally worn my soccer shin guards just to protect my shins from thorns/rocks/branches.
Something that could cover my knees and still give the same comfort/flexibility would be awesome.
