I'm both happy and sad for you. I remember when you posted about how you hoped to reconcile. I'm sure the future holds great things for you, though. Now, go plow some fields.

A guy I work with is going through EXACTLY the same thing!!!
The state actually refused to allow for a paternity test.

That *process of engaging in carnal relations* greedy *promiscuous woman* took that poor *fatherless child* to the cleaners! And the *beast of burden; donkey* judges are letting her get away with it!

That's really sad to see...

When It was my "visitation time" for the kid I'd take a trip to the doctor's office and have test run. it's as easy as a cheek swab and no one would be the wiser.
If it wasn't my kid I'd change my name and move to a new state. That _ _ _ _ _ wouldn't get a dime.

I might even make the legal argument, "I hate the kid's mom so much and I dispise the fact I'm supporting a kid that isn't mine so much that it would be in the child's best interest it never sees me again.
I'm unstable, I'm cheap, and I'm a connoisseur of firearms."

That last line made the entire post...

Rule of equitable parenthood. Someone this applies to financial support more than it should - it should be used to allow for one to estabilish paternity.

Basically if you acted as the parent over a period of time, you are the parent in regards to custody and support, even if it is not biologically true.
