I have a pneumag now and am taking my dye sticky3 on and off more than I like to ajust stuff and show people how it works, ect. My idea is to cut the backstrap off so i dont have to take my asa and drop off. With the grips being $30 i dont want to just cut into them so i am wondering if anyone else has done this and if it was a help or stupid.
thanks

Don't do it. Even if you make your cuts nice and clean, it still won't fit as snug anymore.

I'd just buy another set of grips until you're done showing off the goods. You still might be able find a set of older-style Dye's w/o the backstrap. The material is less 'squishy' and more rigid.

I've done it on a few sets with no ill effects...

so don't worry about it... If you want the back piece again... buy another set.

Try and find some of the clear Dye grip panels, that way you can kind of show it off without removing the grips at all...

You can cut the back off and they will work and look fine on the gun. There shouldnt be any change in fit at all they will be just as snug, just no wrap around the back).

I've got a set as well.

My friend cut off the backstrap on his sticky 3s, and they seemed to hold just fine.
